Simple job. Figured less than $20 for the pulley and another $25 for a new belt and maybe 10-15 ,minutes to round up the tools and change the parts. Then when I started I found that the tensioner was also shot. Another $60 or so. Since there are two serpentine belts I also have to loosen up the alternator to remove that one first. Broke the first bolt off in the alternator. Since I didn't have access to my torches I figured the other one would also break so I tried moving the alternator enough to get the belt off without loosening the second one. Broke the farking alternator housing. Rebuilt alternator--$80+$30 core charge which I can't get back because I broke the farking housing. Also another $25 or so for a new alternator belt because that one is also pretty much shot, along with another couple bucks for new bolts.
Spend about an hour drilling out the bolt that broke off in the mounting bracket because the first drill bit broke off in the bolt halfway through and those bastards are a bitch to drill. Got it all back together, spliced a new updated connector on the wiring harness and started it up. The farking thing isn't charging.
I threw all the tools in the garage and gave up for the night.
Now if you had only learned

I thought that was my job to throw the tools left in my kitchen when there is a shed full of tool boxes, and more tool boxes in the garage
