Chick-fil-A.....

So the first CFA in the state opened up this morning. On the news, they said people were camping out for a good 36 hours.

I've been to CFA in another state before, but camping out?

Looks like Black Friday. One guy drove over 1000 miles to attend Confused

With that being said, gotta grab some lunch later Eat

In-n-Out doesn't freeze their beef, so they'll only have a restaurant within a day's trucking (~500 miles) from a distribution center. That's why they don't have them all over the place. Soon after they opened a distribution center in Dallas, they were all over that region. All locations are company-owned (no franchises), so that keeps a damper on growth.
Wendy's also doesn't freeze their meat, but they are everywhere. sounds like In-n-Out needs to fix their business model. I am yet to get to try it Frown

I haven't been impressed with Culver's. Though I like the frozen custard, and even more so when they have coupons Happy Other than that, I feel like it is :meh:

Have you had the sourdough melt? It's delicious.

I did the first 100 thing at the CFA here about 10 years ago. Going by the link posted above, it seems to have gotten way too complicated now laugh out loud All I got was 52 free chicken sandwiches though. Maybe they changed things up when they started handing out free meals instead.

Service has always been exceptional at the Chick-fil-As I've been to. It's nice to see smiling faces - much harder to find that at many fast food joints. But I don't call if it's crowded, and surely would never camp out. Crazy

Farthest out of the way I've gone for a meal was In-n-Out Burger. Summer 1987. I had just purchased my first car, and we didn't yet have In-n-Out Burger in San Diego, so I picked up a friend and we drove the ~70 miles to the closest one in Orange County.
I've driven from Dallas to Driftwood (just southwest of Austin) just to get Saltlick BBQ. Have also flown into Austin instead of Midland on a trip to see my dad, just so I could have Saltlick BBQ while visiting him, it added 200 miles of driving to the trip.

Nope - I don't eat beef. I do eat chicken... I guess since there was discussion of Chick-Fil-A and Popeyes, I was thinking of chicken restaurants. And I don't really like the chicken at Culvers.

So as far as burgers go, I have no idea. Smilie

Saw it on the news this morning too. Checked out the menu online and I just don't get it. I suppose I have to taste it though. Will head to Warwick this weekend and try it. Honestly looks like those hot chicken sandwiches Stop and Shop used to sell over by the deli.

Their sandwiches are delicious. McDonald's introduced their southern chicken sandwich as an attempt to duplicate the Chick-Fil-A sandwich, and it's about 31.7% as good as the genuine article.

I do like the McD Southern chicken sandwich. Very tasty. Guess it's not offered anymore?

Yes and no. According to the rules - if there are less than 100, everyone gets the free coupons. If there are more than 100, there is a drawing where they randomly pick numbers and give out the coupons. So to me, it doesn't seem like camping out increases your odds at all.

CFA is like In-N-Out, only for chicken.

Is it not? I stopped ordering it once we had CFA here laugh out loud
Even then it was like it was a cruel mockery, merely serving to remind me of the tastegasm I could only sample when I was in other states.
