Anyone done it? If so what are you using for movies, tv shows, etc? ( not torrent sites
)
I'm cancelling cable and was wondering what everyone uses these days. Hulu, Netflix, HD Antenna, Chromecast, Roku?

I use:
Hulu Plus
Netflix
and have procured login access to HBOGo, Showtime, NBCSports, and ESPN.
Further, I pay yearly for MLB and NHL subscriptions.
All of the above can be watched right from my AppleTV.
We also have all the channels, including movies and sports package. So it would be tough to replicate but I find we don't watch most of it and even when we try there is nothing worthwhile on anymore.
I found a lot of shows we DVR, we weren't watching right away anyways. Sometimes not for days.
No, I don't watch stuff on network sites. I just download those shows.
(Satellite boxes don't have to be close to each other to work. You each buy your own dish, just the boxes have to be under the same account. Shhh, I didn't tell you about anything illegal to do.)

They keep slowly adding in more commercials to each break though, and that's seriously pissing me off. I'm debating cancelling.
It used to be 1-2 commercials per break when I first got them years ago, now I've seen 4 or even 5.
I'd rather they just increase the fee a buck or two and just spare me the crappy commercials.
I like it a lot, I just can't watch too much of it, otherwise it keeps me up at night. I get scared easily.

no wires are needed for Direct TV and Dish Network AFAIK. I know people who shares DirectTV without any issues. You'll just have to install the dish on your own.

I really don't watch it enough to justify the expense. Amazon's offerings are awesome if you like organized access to PBS/BBC content.
