I'll still take three runs by Lynch inside the 1 any day rather than risk an interception. No matter what anybody is claiming they had plenty of time to run 3 plays.
I'm just saying that it's not all that far from the realm of football thinking that with about 60 seconds left and 3 downs available, you try to pass once if the defense is also showing goal line formation and you only have 1 more time out.
But, because it failed, ppl are making it out like it's the worse play call in the history of sports!
I took one step further with the stats just now. I looked at the entire 2014 season to see what the Seahawks did on any down from the opponent's 3 yard line or less. On running plays, they were able to score 57% of the time when they tried to run it in (with any playing carrying the ball).....out of 14 times within the opponents' 3 yardline, they scored a TD 8 times.
And the patriots have never had anyone use PEDs? Just give it a rest.
What about Blount? Didnt they orchestrate him leaving Pittsburgh, so he could resign with the Cheaters? That ethical or cheating?
Did someone say he was definitely the best back? Out of all the backs in the league, you list two that are "better" than Lynch. How many backs are in the league?
1. How did it require " more than "less than one yard".", when the ball was inside the one yard line?
2. Because he had already gotten 4-5 yards. That was a really stupid question.
3. Already been discussed and answered. Read the thread.
But as far as the act, you have to be aware that it's common in sports to spy on your opponents and try to steal their signals.
How did they orchestrate the Blount release by Pittsburg?!?!? The Steelers' got sick of him and the Patriots snatched him up in free agency. Whereas, the Seahawks will sign like 10 day contracts with scrubs that the Niners' just released just to get info from them!
Yet, do I call the Seahawks cheaters? Of course not! Because, it's all within the rules and in the gray area that all teams do out there to gain an advantage--i.e. spy on each other, try to steal signals, try to get info from former players. It's part of the game!

Blounts deal was rumored to be the same thing that you seem to be accusing the Seahawks of doing. Him not being happy where he was and contacting the Cheaters to see if they were interested. Then him getting himself fired so that he could go back to them.
Alot of people hate the Patriots because they have a well deserved reputation that they cheat.

Unfortunately there is no way to know if the cheaters actually gained an unfair advantage, because there is no way of knowing how long they had been cheating, or what knowledge they gained.
Hence, their wins are tainted in many peoples eyes.

It doesn't matter if they gained an advantage or not. What matters is if they intended to gain an unfair advantage.
And there is really no way of knowing if underinflated footballs give an advantage in any situation. How do you define an advantage? A QB simply feeling more comfortable with a certain pressure football would be considered an advantage.

I think what I meant was more, there has to be an intent to gain an unfair advantage... If everyone's doing the same thing and there's only a minor technicality separating the two (and this is in reference to spygate, not deflategate), such as "You can film anything on the field from here, but not from here" even though the two things seen would be virtually identical, that's not much, if any, of an advantage over what everyone else gets.
So that brings up an interesting question of, is it cheating if their intent is just to do pretty much what everyone else is already doing?
Fair points.

This argument seems like kindergarten level. "Well they did it first" "everyone else is doing it" "I didn't know that I couldn't do that"
Really? This is a multi billion dollar a year industry and people are going to use excuses that a 5 year old would make?
As of now the Patriots are guilty of playing with balls that didn't meet league regulations. If the Patriots or Patriots fans want the Pats exonerated they need to stop with the kid games and start providing actual evidence.

And lol at your red herrings.

Yeah they are already guilty, now all they can do is try to prove that they accidently broke the rules while in game.

This is exactly why I hoped the Seahawks had won. The "controversy" would have died down as nothing more than a footnote on an amazing game. Instead this will live on for years.
