Flannel shirts attract lesbians, so it might work. Just head down to the local fishing hole.

Well, since Hurricane Ike came town 2 weeks ago, I started reading the Twilight series. Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. Since we had no power it took less than 5 days to read all of them (each over 700 pages.) But when I come across a good book I can't put it down. They are all really great reads. Plus the first movie comes out in Nov. Once power came back on, this past Thursday (2 days short of 2 weeks) I went online and read the manuscript for Midnight Sun on the authors website.
laugh out loud I'm right there with you. I read so many books during the Ike outage.

Well, luckily we have a generator so we had the essentials hooked up. Fridge, A/C window unit, Tv, Xbox, and a light. Of course, there is only so many times a person can watch movies with their kids. I can't tell you how many times they watched Flubber, thanks dh. But we also made them watch Labyrinth and the LOVED IT! They have been running around singing David Bowie songs from the movie. But after so many times of watching it over and over again...you have to find something else to stay sane. Lol

The Know-It-All by A.J. Jacobs. He decided to read the entire Encyclopedia Brittanica and write a book about the process. It's outstanding. The same guy wrote The Year of Living Biblically and that one was excellent as well. Jacobs is a funny, insightful guy and I recommend him very highly.
