So far this one little line struck me... "Narrative is one of the best intoxicants or tranquilizers"

She wrote this in 1985..I Couldnt help but think of how social media has forced many to be writers...and has given an outlet to those of us who are but don't really realize it....

Ok...end of profoundness...back to trolling....

Finally finished Atlas Shrugged last night. It was a great book. I know some people absolutely hate Ayn Rand, but I agree with many of her philosophies. I loved The Fountainhead, too. Makes me feel better about my outlook on life. I'm not cold and uncaring, I just have no time for people who mooch off other other people's hard work and whine for others to fix their problems. Respect is earned, not owed. You have the right to live and be happy. I don't understand people who are offended by my right to be happy. laugh out loud

Iagree about Rand. It's almost time for my annual re-reading of both of those... Scratchchin

I just finished re-reading World War Z and I realized I hardly remember anything from the Gunslinger books, I can't find any of my copies, and I didn't finish the series... so I'm starting over & just cracked the first book on my Kindle.

THEN I have the whole George R. R. Martin series to read b/c I finally watched "Game of Thrones" on HBO so now I need to read the books. laugh out loud That should keep me busy for a while! Whee

I liked it. Depends on what you want from a book though. Without giving the story away, it's set it first person, the main character is a girl, and the story is... well... can be brutal at times. But it's very well written.
