IDK, I've never read the Fever series! *scurries to read synopsis*

it's easy and fast reading; but for some odd reason, I enjoyed these books. not well written and found grammatical errors / typo errors in the book; but enjoyed them. Seems to be very similar to the "lost Girl" TV series.

Who's the author for these, I went to BN.com, but there are a lot of books with 'fever' in the title! Thanks for your help.

Insurgent by Veronica Roth. Second in a series that began with Divergent. This one picks up right where the first one left off with no recap. Annoyed I've read lots in between! I like a little recap in my books.

I've always wondered if there were people who liked recap in series books. Personally I hate it, but I guess I could see if there's a huge span between writings and you've read a lot in between. Personally, I just hate having to read what I already know. I just want to get to the story.

I don't like a long, drawn-out retelling of the first book, but a few sentences to remind me where we left off wouldn't hurt.

laugh out loud I hate the recap. When I was reading the Sookie Stackhouse books, each one would have a bit of a recap (from what I remember). "My name is Sookie Stackhouse. I am a telepath. I date vampires. I live in Louisiana. Here is my boyfriend. This is my brother. Blah blah blah"
Yeah, we know already!

I just feel so frustrated!!! It's good to know I'm not alone though. I feel like I need to read something really good now to make up for it... And my boyfriend is taking too long with A Dance With Dragons, so I can't borrow it yet.

Maybe I will read Battle Royale. Similar theme to Hunger Games, it sounds like. Maybe the story will be better laugh out loud
Same here.

Just finished Inner circle (Meltzer). I like the conspiracy theory/govt. fiction.

Reading Oryx and Crake by Margarat Atwood, Wife 22 by Melanie Gideon and will start the latest Sookie Stackhouse book soon. The Sookie series seems to get worse with each of the latest books, but I just have to continue to read them.

do any of u folks participate in reading programs from library over the summer? asking becos our library here gives out free mugs for reading 4 books!
I do, if they have them for adults. That's how I won my Kindle last fall! So far this summer they've only started up one for kids, but they usually do one for adults as well.

I've got this one on request from the library, loved the first book. I hope I'm not lost when I begin reading, since it seems like a year since I read Divergent.

Oh, and I did read the first Fifty Shades book and have the other two on request from library. I rarely pay for a book anymore.

I finished A Dance With Dragons 2 days ago.
Now to figure out which of the 1-2 dollar hardcover books I bought last year from the book store that closed down.
