I know! laugh out loud I told my hubby that I think we need to make tiny spears for him to hang the bodies on around the doors. I think he loves leaving them all around the doors like some sort of voodoo symbol.

When I had an outdoor cat, he'd leave me mousie offerings.

Sure, the corpse was gross.

But I thought the gesture was really sweet. Embarrassment

Reminds me of Hannibal cutting off his own hand. Aww, romance! Wink

LMAO One is sweet as long as they don't rip the fur off and started chowing down. Annoyed

Three or more dismembered ones a day is just more than I can handle.

See, that's not sweet, that means kitty's getting what kitty wants and then giving you leftovers. Nono2

My cat gave me the thing practically intact. A, "I-lubba-ya-like-youz-fambly" kind of gift. Big Grin

Hm, have you been scooping them up and throwing away? Burying them? I have no idea. How on Earth do you discourage a cat from mousing?!

We had a cat when I was younger who loved "hunting." She would bring lizards at first and drop them at the door and my mom would swat the little carcasses away and squeal. So then she brought baby mice... same thing from my mom. Then it was a field mouse... same thing. Then it was a rat, a big ass rat. My mom at that point figured the cat thought that mom was not pleased with the offerings and rather than swat and squeal, she just petted the cat and told her how good of a hunter she was. She still brought stuff to the door all the time, but not like that damn rat.

She had a litter of kittens and we kept one. That cat would "hunt" too. She caught a squirrel, a flying squirrel, a red breasted robin, a bluejay and lots of mice.

I have no idea. When it was geckos, bah. It didn't bother me. Mostly he was just eating their tails and they grew new ones back. The snake? Welllll that totally flipped me out. Especially when I realized it was alive on the porch. I farkin flipped out. Wacko

I don't know what hubby does with them. I know we had some work done in the back yard last fall and he was apologizing all over himself to the work men for the mouse remains everyehere. laugh out loud I guess, I look at it as, its his "man" job to take care of them. Whatever he does with them, I don't really care. As long as it doesn't start stinking or in some other way impacting my life. laugh out loud

LMAO Too bad your mom didn't know the pattern after the first lizard. Would've probably helped w/ the gross factor.

And as for the kitten, yup. Believe it or not, not all cats are mousers. Psych studies show that it's a taught behavior. Cats learn it from other cats. That's why some cats won't bother w/ 'em. (Thinks of Garfield.)

OMFG. Too funny. I love that term. "Man job." I'm gonna steal that from you.

"You! Yes you! Fix that toilet that makes continual noise."
"Er, why?"
"Because it's your ManJob™!"
