Also, I freakin have to TEAR off upc's of stuff we buy for my dh's son's as the mother will return anything and everything we buy....not b/c the boys don't like it...because I bought it! *snip*
Good Lord, That's just horrible! Don't people realize what kind of stress that kind of behavior causes a kid? Ridiculous...

Quote from Jen2882 :
*snip*Sorry for all the q's...never cvs'd before due to the distance.
LOL .. I've never CVSed before because it's SCARY!!! EEK! I have a CVS -literally- one minute from my house, but never go there. I did try peeking over in that thread here & there, and it does seem like they're getting great deals, but it's GOT to be difficult to keep up with all of those expiring ECBs & how many times you've done this or that deal, etc. I can hardly keep up with my RL!!!

Quote from MamaRo :
Yeah, when you start dreaming of Target, you know you're HOOKED !!!!
Too funny ... I had a dream last night that I got to the checkout lane & got everything rung up, then realized I couldn't find my Qs! It was horrible! Doubly horrible was the fact that the dream seemed to loop that last part over & over, then I'd wake up a little, then go back to sleep only to have it start again... Crying2

Quote from sagasu :
I'm pretty new to these Target threads and was just wondering if there is always this much drama? It really is ruining the fun in reading all of the deals. I feel like you all are my second family. Geesh, I read this thing when I wake up, after my shower, during my lunch and before bed. I love reading and talking to you people but recently I'm debating whether or not it's worth it. Although I feel like I would be losing a lot of friends. Please people lets all get along and be a happy Target family.
I so agree with you ... I'm still here two to three times per day reading, and really would like to post more.... but who wants to post when you stand a 50/50 chance of having someone ream u for saying something they don't agree with? It's like walking on broken glass around here sometimes... every other step yer gonna get cut up & bloodied. Moderation is my mantra, and I very rarely use a scan, but I'm not about to slam anyone for not being like me ... live & let live, and all that happy crappy. If I see someone going overboard, I just shake my head & move on. If I see someone preaching, I just shake my head & move on. Why can't we all just get along??? Maybe some philosopher somwhere/sometime has come up with an answer, but I dunno it...

Don't get me wrong, I really love this board, and all of the deals you guys post... just wish there was less drama. I've got enuf drama IRL, as I'm sure most of us do! So for now I'll stick to reading a lot, posting whatever deals I come up with, and that's just about it.

~sorry for the rambling ... just realized there was absolutely NO purpose to all that. Look, Ma, my first RANT! LMAO

I'm SOOO jealous! I sent this info to my Mum & a friend - I even sent links to good printables, since they're not couponers! Have no idea if they went or not, tho I think they'd be almost crazy not to!

I WANT A HARRIS TEETER !!!! Crying2

My contribution for the day, tho not Target related:
I was in Winn-Dixie last night blinkie-hunting & found a tearpad for $1 off wyb nabisco cookie multi-pack & two capri sun boxes. This thing decodes NICELY! Used it at WM SCO today... and I no longer feel guilty for grabbing 1/3 of the tearpad.

agreed most ppl here do not want the drama. They want the deals. Having said that, in the few short months I have been coming here there is drama every so often, it will blow over. I wonder what the relation is to lack of deals?!? lol, maybe if not so many deals to talk about the drama increases?

If anyone has a Stop N Shop by them, today I was buying 4 O.R. popcorn boxes ($2.29 each) to bring to a party. And I bought 10 pkgs of kraft cheese. Well I paid $2.87 for all of it. Out pops a store Q for $2 off my next order! Read it and it says buy 4 boxes or more and get $2 off! I have 26 more Qs to buy! This is good until 4/6! So pay $1.26 and you get a store Q for $2 off your next order... I think thats a slick deal!
You both Rock super big time!! I had such a C-rappy day shopping today that it actually makes me happy to read good stories like these. Smilie

Too bad we don't have Stop N Shop around here...

Although, they do have some horridly-named convenience store called "Kum 'N Go," which I think is about the WORST possible moniker for any business located outside of rural Nevada...but then that's OT.

I've got relatives in LV and I remember seeing that. The first time I was like EEK! Seriously, it's got to be some jr. high boy's idea of a joke or something!

Agreed that it's good to be back to posting deals. I don't have kids, so diaper deals and toy deals aren't necessary for me. Thus, lots of what goes on here doesn't apply, plus I don't feel comfortable using ETQs. (No judgement implied, just a personal thing.) But still, I love the T threads here. They are so helpful!

A good deal of what gets posted here is stuff I would never do . . .mostly because I'd be too nervous. Some of it seems shady to me, but, really, more power to you all! Cheers

i haven't shopped at wal-mart in forever (hate that store!) but need to go for some clean team items. i thought i had read somewhere wal-mart limits q usage to a certain number of coupons or dollar value.. or something. anyone know what that is for sure? (don't want to cause unnecessary attention from freaked out registers Stick Out Tongue)
Don't know if this will still help, but I have read that if you use more than 40 Q's it will require a managers approval.

Just thought I'd make a suggestion for any of you who have a lot of baby wipes, razors, and toothpaste from all your deals... and are not sure what to do with it all? These three things are some of the most requested items at anysoldier.com [anysoldier.com]

Waaay OT, but hey, this is chit chat, and I'm feelin' chit chatty!

For all you mommas out there, when you brought your new baby home, what did you wish you'd received as gifts, instead of certain other things? i.e. What did you find most useful, and most necessary? My cousin's wife is pregnant (yeah, lovely timing. For anyone wondering, she's due a month and a half before I was, and they're having a little girl. *sigh* Sadwalk), and so I'm finding myself trying to dream up things to give them that are practical and useful, instead of some of the regular baby crap that people give other people, without realizing that it serves no real purpose. It's a happy occasion for them, and it's not supposed to be a sad one for me, so I'm doing my best to try to make it as positive as I can, so I'm killing two birds with one stone here. Retail therapy, and being helpful.

I have some diapers and wipes already. Only one box of newborn 2's, and a box of 3's, but I plan on picking up more 3's for them, since as I understand it, that's the size that they stay at longest. What else? What'd you have to go out and buy, that nobody ever thought to give you?

That's hard Whee. I had a friend who was trying to conceive for 2 years and she couldn't come to our baby shower or around when the baby was first born because she was so sad. Shortly after they finally made a gorgeous boy and now he has a playmate. I hope you have a happy ending.

Diapers/Wipes. I had stocked up (at almost full price from amazon) but went through them so fast. Johnsons stuff. Bottle liners if they use playtex. I had no idea how many we would need when registering and we were buying them weekly when he was first born. I would say same with diaper genie II refills but I think it's mostly refills on anything. They tell you to buy one or two of things and deal with it later but I'm a stockpiling kind of gal and was freaking when we were running out of stuff a month in. No blankets, hats or socks, everyone gets too many of those.

I personally love my Moms gift. She got me a cute laundry basket filled with baby hangers (for all the clothed I got), Baby Safe laundry detergent and dryer sheets and stain remover. I used every last bit of it and loved that she put so much thought into what I needed but wouldn't get from someone else.

The "store that shall not be named's" SCO are YMMV. Mine limit to a total of 5 q's before needing approval. Other's have mentioned that there'a are a dollar amount limit. Unfortunately, it all depends on how they have their systems set up.

Actually, I think it is 40 DOLLARS total of savings not 40 COUPONS. I keep mine below that amount and never have had a problem. Whenever I go OVER $40 IN SAVINGS, I always have to have a manager come over and it takes FOREVER!!!!

Tylenol & Oust. LMAO

Really tho .... it's been sooo long since I brought one home that my memory's drawing a blank.

I do remember, though, this one very special outfit someone bought for my daughter. It was just the most angelic little concoction of fabric & lace I had ever seen. I remember waiting & waiting for her to be able to fit into it. And when she finally could wear it I was so tickled I made a point of showing her off to everyone in a five mile radius.

Maybe several of those "special" outfits in varying sizes? Not practical or needed, per se, but definitely one of those things that's fondly remembered.

  • undershirts--the onesie type things. But I HATE the Gerber Brand Onesies. Target carries a brand called Just One Year, it is a division of Carters and I really love them. They are made nicer and they don't shrink like the other brand. Get bigger sizes...12 and 18 months. Everyone buys the itty bitty ones and we had to go out and buy the bigger ones. And they are expensive! Specially since I didn't know the word 'overage' just yet. laugh out loud
  • socks
  • Hooded bath towels. I still wish I had more of those.....and wash cloths.
  • and TOYS! My poor baby had a closet full of clothes and nothing to play with! We went out and spent some cash on some play things...again, pre-coupon days!

HTH! Have FUN!
