I'm changin my post now since my papaw is home and feeling better now. This thread is for anyone to use and post there own requests. Lux took my post from another thread and made this a separate thread just for that reason. Please do not hesitate to make requests cause you might be surprised at the support you will get from the loungers!!

Here is my original request...
Sorry I know this is off-topic but there seem to be some religious people in here right now.

Please say a little prayer for my grandfather cause my mom just called and said he just called her and she is taking him to the emergency room. He is having pains (chest, I believe). It scares me cause he had a heart attack last summer and then a 5 bypass surgery. So now I'm heading to meet them at the hospital. Thanks!

I heart my Papaw!

Please keep my friend/coworker in your prayers. She's already gone through chemo...and is now going through reconstruction. Since she also has to have radiation ...and very soon...the plastic surgeon has to double up the saline injections...going in twice a week. She's in a lot of discomfort right now and questioning her choice of course.

Yes, the chemo didn't get it all...so the radiation has to be done soon. But implants and radiation don't do well together...due to scarring of the muscle. So they are injecting twice a week into her when they were doing to me once a week. The tightness can be quite intense. And she tried to back off the good pain meds for fear of becoming addicted and found that wasn't a good choice. I told her to let the meds help her through this part and then ween off. Thanks for keeping the prayers going. hug

Thanks. I am kind of her sounding board. I know she'll make it through this, I have faith in that...but I also know how frustrating the set backs/ pain/ tightness...all of it can be.

Hey...last night when I was saying my prayers I said "And please watch over Schooby and everyone in her life"..which was weird cause I usually don't add that last part. I hope things go as easy and painless as they possibly can for her hug

A lot of times someone who can understand what you're going through can be more help than anything else ! nod

Awwwwwwwwwww that was sweet to hear, thank you. hug

I'm just hoping that by knowing I made it through the fire (although I didn't have to go through as much as she's facing) that it helps her have confidence that she will too.

I bet it will to some extent. Just knowing Someone who has gone through something similar to what she's gone through and made it through and can understand some of how it feels probably makes her feel a little better about things. Also she can talk to you about certain things that only you and those who have been through it can understand.

I try to tell her things to find out from her doctor...or what to expect (or possibly might experience since I did). I am always amazed when patients and doctors don't discuss all things to expect.
I just want her to have an easier time of things than she sounds like she's having right now.

My dad is finishing up with his chemo. Anything you want to talk about let me know. Maybe I can answer any questions, or listen to you vent, if you need. hug
