Hello all.

Went to my local Costco today (Located in Fresno, California) and I did a double take. Glenlevit 12 Year Old single malt scotch whiskey was priced at $19.99, apparently due to a $7 manufacturer instant rebate, which goes through November 30th. This means that while liquor price may be different depending on the area, a great majority of Costcos should have it marked down by $7.

Costco Store Locator [costco.com]

You might not need a membership to purchase Alcohol at Costco, depending on local laws or if you can get a Costco Gift Card. See Wiki for details.

You'll find Glenlivet 12 Year normally priced anywhere from $25-$60, depending on your region and sales, or if ordering online, it sits in the middle to higher end of that range when including shipping costs.

Tasting notes and reviews can be found at Master of the Malt [masterofmalt.com].
While this isn't my favorite scotch, as I like them a more smokey, it has a nice light flavor and I'd highly suggest it to those who are new to scotch drinking who might get put off by really smokey scotches. And at $19.99 a bottle, you can't go wrong.

I didn't buy any today, and didn't snap any photos but kissdisap did take a photo! I'll make sure to do so when I go back into town tomorrow soon. I did buy a bottle though not long ago for $26.99, and took my receipt in to have them price adjust my previous purchase (See wiki on Costco Alcohol Price Adjustment Policy), so I got $7 back .

At least around here, that's the cheapest Glenlivet has been in recent memory. Feel free to post prices and Costco locations, and I'll keep a running list in the wiki.

Thanks kissdisap for the price label picture!

Good to serve to people that you want to leave soon.

Spend a bit more and get something with quality if you like scotch.

Then it's a good deal for you. If you like something and get a good price then that is great.

I tend to serve JW Black as my basic guest whisky and only get out the malts for good friends and interesting guests. I keep all my good stuff in my office away from my guzzler brother-in-law.

you prefer black over glenlivet, glenfiddich, or macallan? they're all more or less in the same price range

I don't ever drink the JWB. Currently I'm rotating Laphroaig, Glenmorangie, two Ardbegs, Jura, Abelour and Trader Joe's Speyside. I also enjoy some good ryes for making Manhattans and my absolute favourite...a Sazerac.
