We just finished Making a Murderer...it wasnt bad.
What else is really good right now? I'm eyeing The Expanse, but not sure my wife would be able to handle it.

Jessica Jones is good along with Daredevil, both on Netflix, both about superheroes in Hell's Kitchen, and both from Marvel. They do take different perspectives and directions on their story archs. Both very well worth it. Daredevil Season 2 coming up in March.
Narcos, also on Netflix, about Narcos (nickname for druglords in Central America) as told by the DEA agent involved in their apprehension. Season 1 deals with Pablo Escobar. It chronicles the first 17 years of Escobar. With it being a generic name for the drug lords my guess is future seasons will deal with other drug lords of notoriety beyond Escobar. I'm only guessing. Only drawback is that all the spanish speakers are subtitled.
Can't wait to see what The Magicians and Colony is about on Syfy.
Oh and can't wait for DC's Legends of Tomorrow. I'm already big on Flash and Arrow so can't wait to see this next incarnation of DC.
It's not an 5 star show, but it is amusing and entertaining.
Not a zombie show like Walking Dead is. It's silly and cute, weird... but cute.
I started watching the new X-Files and realized that there was a lot of the older series that I have not seen (probably because in the earlier to mid 90's I didn't have a tv and worked two jobs). So I've started back at the beginning. I didn't realize there were 9 seasons (back when a season was 24 episodes). They look so young.

Last night's episode was really good! I didn't realize how many little hints there may be at things from previous seasons. And who knows if it was intended for them to be hints at all. I went through and re-watched almost all of the previous episodes the past year to get ready. Unfortunately they don't have the movies on Netflix, and I can't find them anywhere for cheap.
How many X-Files moves are there? I only remember watching one, can't recall the title.

The 2008 movie was disappointing to me.

100% agree on recommending Black Mirror, however challenge is getting a viewable version in the US. Unlike a lot of British shows, have not seen a US release of it yet. Only DVD releases are PAL versions - you can still play them with some software solutions, but remains a big barrier to a larger audience. Also don't know of a streaming version available
IF they do release a NTSC version, defintiely grab it. I
.
I am simultaneously excited and dreading The Magicians. It seems like it will be very tough to capture the vibe on screen as Quentin cannot come across as completely reprehensible. In book form, your brain sets the characterization based on the words. On the screen, the visuals set the characterization.
For those who haven't yet, highly recommend reading the books by Lev Grossman, even if you don't plan to watch the show
