Are there any runners in the Lounge? OT is fine as long as it has something to do with you running.

So I started Couch to 5K this year, and today I begin week 4, day 1. I'm finding this to be easier overall than I expected it to be.
Who here runs religiously, and what advise do you have to give to someone just starting out, such as myself?
Motivation is not a problem. I find myself looking forward to each run so far.

I turned my ankle pretty bad last night, so I won't be running the rest of the week. Wah, wah. So I'll be running vicariously through the thread.
Last weekend I ran for 20 minutes, which was the longest run of my life. Sunday and all next week I run for 25 minutes, then week 8 is 28 minute runs.

I've been using MapMyRun, downloading the tcx file, and then manually uploading to Smashrun. I'd like to do this all automaigcally in the background, which should be possible.
I'm also looking to change to a different running app, as I'd like to have time intervals or mile intervals (or both) called out while I am running. For example, every quarter mile or half mile, have the app call out my time and splits. MapMyRun doesn't seem to do this.
There are other apps out there, and I suppose I'll start trying some of them, but I wanna know what you guys use.
I'm thinking one of my next app trials will be either Ghostrun or, more likely, RunKeeper, since it appears that RunKeeper has voice training in the free version.
What apps do you guys use to track your runs?
See detailed stats around your pace, distance, time, and calories burned
- Get stats, progress, and coaching through your headphones with built-in audio cues
- View a detailed history of your workouts to see how you are doing
- Measure your progress against your goals and targets
- Follow detailed plans to help you achieve specific fitness objectives, like run for weight loss or run a 5K
- Post your activity stats, fitness achievements and goals to Facebook
- Let supporters watch live maps of your workouts and races (must have RunKeeper Elite)
-Share past activities imported from GPS devices (e.g. Garmin)
Bonus, it stopped raining as I was stepping outside to run!
EDIT: I like RunKeeper. It has audio queues I can set for time, distance, pace, etc. It also has a countdown delay for when the GPS tracking starts so I can get more accurate splits, and just log the portion of my workout that is running and not walking.
I used RunKeeper once for a 10 miler where I didn't know the route very well. I mapped it out on the computer and sent the course to the app. That was a nice feature. It didn't keep my phone awake, which I didn't like, but that could have been a setting I missed. I didn't use the voice stuff, so I can't speak to that. But when I just want to map a course on the computer, I like MapOMeter better.

I expect to run a pace of around 12:30.
I'm excited!
