I'm in pain again this morning. Where the area right under my ribs (in the middle) hurts so bad and my back is all crampy. Sometimes the pain is unbearable and I'm crawling around on the floor in a daze for hours. It usually happens in the morning. It's not that bad this morning. My Dr. told me it was acid reflux but is it usually that bad? I'll sit on the couch and rock back and forth and sometimes that seems to help. I take Prilosec, heart burn relievers, etc. I don't drink, eat right before bedtime, lay down after food and last night I had a healthy dinner. But each Dr. is like "Yeah, that's GERD" (acid reflux type thing.) and since it doesn't occur 3-4 times a week they just tell me to stick with OTC meds. I'm just tired of this though.

Interesting note though, almond milk seemed to help some this morning. (I read to almonds can help so I tried almond milk and it helped some. Regular milk just makes it worse.)
Comfort Sorry you feel yucky. Have you gone to a gastroenterologist rather than a regular everyday doc? They might be more aggressive.

I remember having that pain one time. It was right in the very center of my stomach, below my chest. My doctor said it was likely an ulcer. Have they considered that? Either way, I hope you find relief Comfort

Maybe so that we'll enjoy the uncomplicated times that much more. Dontknow I know it gets really tough to cope sometimes. They will get better...one way or another.
I'd rather not elaborate on it here, because, well... It's complicated laugh out loud But thanks to both of you. And I know eventually stuff straightens itself out, so that's what I'm hoping for. Thanks for reminding me of that, schoob. hug

an empty stomach isn't very good for acid reflux Afaik.. i'd second the gastro person thingy.. i'd at least trust them with it more than a regular gp.

Actually no...I don't think that was even ever brought up. Did it last for a few hours and then go away and was it always in the morning? I remember my dad having them when I was little.

Now I'm sorta wondering about that. I wonder why the Dr's never mentioned that. Someone else I spoke to mentioned gallbladder. That wasn't a Dr. though.

That sucks. They should play Cinema Paradiso as the final film.

At 6:21pm on 06/21/2006 my kid died.
No one remembers and no one cares. Not my BFFs. Not my family. No one.
I'm having an okay day. There is a lot of guilt associated with having an okay day when you know you should be having a shitty one, though.
I'd rather sleep the day away.
