Just a heads up that CowBoom [cowboom.com] is no more and it will now be Best Buy Outlet.

This is a very sad day. Say good bye to low prices, auctions and good deals. Best Buy outlet ALWAYS had and has much higher prices. Looking at their prices right now makes me want to cry! BBO is horrible. Oh well, gotta celebrate the good times we had with our spongy cows!

Yeah, but CowBoom did the same thing. Most of the items on their site were horribly overpriced. They'd send out their deal emails (not the deal-of-the-day, but the other one with 6 items usually). At least one item would be a really good deal. Unless you clicked a few minutes after 2AM or whenever it came out, that really good deal was OOS, and it would suggest other things that were similar, but they were really BAD deals for used returned BB crap.

I agree that Cowboom was good sometimes and I had pretty good luck with it. But, I'm not sure that the change will make it that much worse. It will probably still be a few really good deals with 90% really not-so-good deals mixed in.

Plus it was a stupid name. On the other hand they once sent me a plastic cow. That was cool.
