I reread the terms recently - it doesn't add to existing warranty, but rather makes any warranty instead be 2y.
So if you buy something with a warranty of 2y or more it does nothing. But if you buy something with a 6mo warranty it becomes 2y

Even if you get the $60 Costco membership, I strongly believe that it's worth the benefits that the card offers. One big discount option that many members forget is the CostcoAuto.com where you type in your active membership number, your zip code, the make of your car and you can email/print 15% off parts, service and accessories – up to $500 per visit – at participating service centers nationwide.

Remember when you receive your cashback in February, you can go to any Costco warehouse cashier (regular checkout lanes) with the barcode voucher in your statement/email/Citi app and actually ask to cash it. They'll scan your membership, the Citi cashback voucher barcode, and give you bills/coins.

Dang. I did hear about the discontinuance of this back in summer 2022. They were saying it'd go away by end of October. I guess they pushed to 01/22/2023.

Anybody aware of any other card that offers (and will continue to offer) this type of extended warranty coverage? Amex has their 90 day purchase protection, but that's different coverage than this extended warranty period.

Almost everyone does 1 year extended (including Amex)
This was the last free citi card to do the 2 year warranty- I believe there's still paid ones that do it... (my prestige does for example though that's no longer taking new applications last I knew)
