I'm sure it's been mentioned and buried but extended warranty benefit goes away next month which sucks
Uhh yeah I have an Amex, this is not true lol
I'm sure citi fought hard in the bidding process to beat Amex to get the Costco account. Part of the terms were probably to offer better benefits for the customer....

I haven't been hit with the update yet...makes me think its targeted and in waves. I'll ride it for as long as I can and then switch to Barclays...

there is no way Costco is paying 50bp. I think it's either half a cent or a penny per transaction.
No way Citi offers them a penny per swipe. It takes so much more than that to maintain the damn infrastructure needed to run a gateway. It maybe a bit lesser for Citi than other banks but its definitely nowhere near that.
more than 50% of the items offered by costco aren't a good deal or worth paying a membership fee for... only if the perk of a free continuing membership was a perk, I'd be somewhat interested, but they dont build many clubs and the ones they have are typically packed w big lines and BIG orders that take a while per customer and walmart will beat costco at their own game with ..(snip)
I'm 99% sure you are a Bernie guy, and have no understanding of economics.
I was worried about recurring/automatic payments I have tied to my AMEX and the hard June 19th/20th dates. If I'm going to take advantage of the new Visa card, I want to be able to move my payments to the Citi Visa and not have any of them messed up. If I read the announcements correctly, I will have to move recurring payments from AMEX to a card I already have before June 19th. Then after June 20th, I can move the recurring payments a second time to the Citi Visa. This will be a pain in the ass.
I contacted AMEX and they say they're working on an offer that will allow current Costco AMEX card holders to transition to a new card, with the same card number. The details are still being worked out and the offer will be mailed out soon. Watch you maile.
I doubt if that will work , the first 4 numbers of any credit card determine whether it is AMEX, VISA , MC , etc . They won't be able to reuse the same credit card numbers.

I am not able to pull Experian report right now. I need to mail in a form request for it. But I would think Equifax and TransUnion would have updated their report from Experian by now (almost 6 months old inquiry from Sept 2015).
I think you are misunderstanding it. Credit pull is independent for each credit bureau. Amex does a credit pull from Experian and not the other 2. So, credit inquiry will be on Experian and not other 2. Once credit account is establized, it will be reported to all 3 bureaus.

Then please explain how I get better deals at Target than CostCo. CostCo stuffs might be cheap 3-4 years ago, it's not nowadays. Foods and stuffs sold there are low quality and they always break after 6 months to 1 year. CostCo diapers gave my son rashes and they always leak. CostCo "organic" eggs taste worse than from Target and WholeFood.
Coupling with long lines for everything (purchase, return, asking questions), it makes more sense to shop elsewhere (unless you are a CostCo fanboys and you don't response to logics).
citi is one of a few credit cards that I never want to have. awful service.
Ditto this. I stopped using my DC as well. My DC card got stolen. I called and they blocked my card and credited me the fraudulent charge. Except that they credited to the locked card and kept insisting that the credit will be transferred over to the new card. It didn't and have to call again and again to argue. Eventually a manager cleared that credits for me. Talking about incompetencies...
