I'm sure it's been mentioned and buried but extended warranty benefit goes away next month which sucks
Uhh yeah I have an Amex, this is not true lol
I'm sure citi fought hard in the bidding process to beat Amex to get the Costco account. Part of the terms were probably to offer better benefits for the customer....

So it is only usable at Costco, but you can make a purchase and cash out the remainder? Am I reading that right?
When the reward checks were issued by Amex, you could cash out the entire amount without purchasing anything, or request the remainder on a purchase that doesn't use the entire reward amount. It looks like Citi's terms are consistent with that.
Specifically the first paragraph: "Your reward is distributed annually via U.S. Mail in the form of a reward coupon included in your February billing statement, and is redeemable through December 31 of the year issued in a single transaction at any U.S. Costco warehouse, including in Puerto Rico, for merchandise or cash back."
If your AmEx billing cycle closed before the deadline, you pay AmEx. But if you are mid-cycle, your charges have been forwarded to Citi and you will pay Citi.
That wasn't my experience.
My AmEx month closed June 13 with a balance of $X. My Citi account showed up today with that $X amount due July 9, I think. I paid $X to Citi, and it now shows $0 due.
In other words, I had to pay Citi, and I doubt you should pay AmEx. It's worth a call/chat, but just log into your Citibank.com account first and see what it says. If it says there's an amount due, go ahead and pay Citi.

I did log-in today to my new Costco Citi Account & noticed that the current balance reflected all my current & recent AMEX charges - oddly no transaction details are available at this time (I am thinking they are still transferring the data from AMEX).
I'm writing about this from work so I don't have access to my log-in on my former AMEX account.
So I am am/was afraid that the AMEX account hadn't been zeroed out (i.e. transferred to Citi) & since I only get e-statements, I'd might have been liable to pay the amount on the AMEX account online AND the Citi balance showing now.

I guess a phone call to both is needed.
Thanks for the feedback.
If the balance on your AmEx account matched what your Citi account shows, I wouldn't worry about it--especially if your billing cycle hasn't closed. You can't possibly be held liable for twice what you spent, once to AmEx and once to Citi.
Citi had said that the billing cycle would close roughly the same time as your AmEx cycle would have. So if you're unsure when your AmEx cycles would close, I'd look at the Citi cycle +-2 days.
My new card is not working, I called Citi gave them my account number and they have no record of my account. They said wait a few more days. Anyone else having this issue? FYI I have a Business credit card account

Same here.. Citi had my balance and everything transferred over from Amex. I did log into AmEx, and there's no record of that card. (My Blue Cash card is still there.)
I think you're overthinking this. Citi took over everything from AmEx. It's as if your AmEx card never existed and it was a Citi card all along.

I just setup the online access for this card. My last Amex statement was on the 14th. They transferred that (with the same minimum payment and due date information) along with the pending purchase from yesterday and the CB balance. I guess we're completely moved over.

You are right - I went home & looked on the AMEX site and the Costco card no longer exists in my account. Everything is serviced by Citi now as though AMEX never existed.
Funny - we also have a Blue Card also like you.
I remarked to my wife that the Citi site tries real hard to configure itself ala the AMEX look and feel. Citi really is trying hard to win over the AMEX diehards.

Yep - that's about same closing period for me & we're Citi customers now in whole.
Has anyone registered their card online? I tried to set up alerts for purchases, but don't see that option in account management. Tried calling online tech support, but the wait time is ridiculous...so far 20 min wait time. Customer service had no clue, so they transferred me to the online support dept.

Are you not seeing an option for 'Balance exceeds $__ Immediate Alert' under Profile & Settings>Enroll in Alerts>2. Set Alert Preferences?

when I clicked on "ENROLL IN ALERTS" it says Due to recent system upgrades, you can now change or update your contact by signing on at citi.com.
when I clicked on the citi.com link and enroll in alerts, I get the same message again.

I tried Chrome and Firefox with the same error. I'll try again tomorrow and might need to call if it won't work.
