Ok girls I had a nice Target run today, but even nicer I found some Kraft tear pads and had 2 sweet grocery store runs.

Here is my grocery store haul.....since we are in chat anyway ...I know you guys appreciate a great deal

I think you probably must have misunderstood me. I'm sorry for that. I'm not that seasoned with Target, either. I guess what I was saying is that I think Shopgirl did the right thing by reiterating how we shouldn't be posting questionable runs.
Hey just thought I would let you know my "secret" for picking out great watermelons. No thumping or any crazy stuff like that either. When you pick up a watermelon it should be very heavy for its size. If it is roughly the size of a basketball it should weigh around 13 or 14 lbs. HTH.

It's harder to save tons of $$$ with Qs at the local grocery stores because their system is coded to work exactly as worded on the Qs. Usually, I think I can save around 25%. No Super T around here, so I have to stick to what's local. Mad

Imagine my surprise when I went to my local grocery store and took my $90 BC down to $40. EEK!

I have been seeing lots of tearpads around the grocery stores. Are people buying less in the summer or is it the economy?
I feel your pain about saving money at local grocery stores. No one doubles coupons here (*except one chain, only on Wednesdays during this summer, when you spend $25 or more, limit of 5 coupons up to $1... and I think there are more restrictions than that even). I just feel thankful that we have 4 STs within 20-25 minutes.

I'm still new to being a more attentive couponer - before I just used insert Qs, and tried to match those up with sales. But even then, I've never seen as many peelies and tearpads as I have found lately.

And lol - they're doing a thing on a certain "game" coupon site CEO on the news here as I type this, showing how to save money at our local store... 113 BC, 43 AC... all I could think was if she came to SD, some of you guys could show her a thing or two Wink

It's such a bummer that no store doubles here either. Mad However, on the other side of the state, the same chain store doubles. Confused They must do it in the huge metropolitan cities only.

I dream of how much I can save with all the inserts that I have if I'm allow to double. On the other hand, I'm also having a nightmare that my family won't fit through the door if I stockpile that many food... EEK!

No grocery store doubles in our entire state. Publix basically has monopolized the grocery store business here/. They just bought 49 Albertsons in the state. They will be closing them or changing them into Publix.

My vote would be the economy...I'm in the land of doubles and triples..I rarely pay more than 20.00 for a trip to the grocery store...I hope the economic problems don't make them stop doubling!

LMAO! That ALWAYS happens here, too. wave

I'm envious of all of those tear pads, I don't think I've ever found one?! There is the occasional smart saver blinkie machine which doles they out one by one at a really slow rate. Confused

I am trying to work out a deal on buns...I have 20 packs of Oscar Meyer and about 10 packs of Hebrew National..yummy and more coupons to use..

Found some wine tags with three q's... 1.00 off hamburger, 1.00 off hot dogs (which I don't think any of us need anymore of!) and 1.00 off buns...if I buy the store buns which are usually on sale for 1.00 they are free! Found these at HT, but they are new..so look in Publix too.

Also there is that SARA LEE q out for 3.00 off watermelon...haven't used it yet, but it might work out well for buns...

Sadly we moved away from one of the only grocery stores in the state doubles, Kroger. None of those in the metro DC area. I'm drooling over some of the great deals that some of you can get from stores that double or triple coupons.
