In my state, it requires an enhanced inspection @$400 plus about $250 in licensing and registration fees.
It's less expensive to buy a preassembled trailer sold by a dealer.
Next time-when you are on the turnpike, look at the plates of most tractor trailers and I'd say 90% of them are registered in Maine.

As far as how this trailer is - it's super light so bounces all over the road, but that's really my main complaint. We'll see how long it holds up but I've used it to pick up building supplies from Lowe's/HD, firewood, etc and it's done the job well.

This is a decent price now that the 20-25% coupon doesn't work on trailers, the only time it might get slightly cheaper is during their periodic 3-day sales
