ok.. so the idea of a thread devoted to the epl was mentioned in the euro 2008 thread, and here it is!

use this as your place to:

the euro 2008 thread was really successful (thanks, killadrilla!), so let's please keep the flaming to a minimum. i'll be copying a few links from the euro wiki as well as adding some info for a slickdeals fantasy league..

watched the last half of the liverpool-pompey match and then the last 5 minutes of united-west ham. time to ready-up for this weekend!

Yeah, Bentley's goal was outstanding. It's about time he did something to show what Tottenham paid for him....

Although, it was partly Almunia's fault... but still, the accuracy on that goal is phenomenal nod

I have a feeling Liverpool is going to have trouble with a much more confident Tottenham side this weekend. Should be a good match, but I think all we can hope for is a tie..

to be honest, i'm not quite as concerned now that spurs got their first win. thought they'd be more desperate if they were still sitting on the egg. playing at home gives them more desire to have an open affair, which means more opportunities to counter for liverpool.

i'll also compare gomes to brett favre in the sense that you know whenever favre plays, he's going to have a few passes that know could/should be intercepted. gomes is the same in that he'll hesitate or come off his line when he shouldn't (ala almunia the other night) and be vulnerable..

plus, their defense kinda resembles.. Big Grin



i do agree, however, that it should be a good match. defo not something to be overlooked..
