First of all, you will need a CVS ExtraCare card. This is obtained easily at any store at the register. Some will ask you to fill out the form then and there, others will just give you the card and ask you to return the form later.
Once you have the card, you can now start CVSing
The biggest thing to understand is that CVS uses a promotional program called "ExtraCare Bucks" (commonly abbreviated as ECBs.) These print out on your receipt immediately once you purchase an item offering them; almost like an instant-rebate you get at the register. You can turn around and use them anytime on almost anything in the store, except for alcohol, cigarettes, and gift cards.
Often, CVS advertises items as "Free after ECB" – For example, throughout the month of November, CVS has Crest Pro Health Whitening Toothpaste in 4.2 oz size, for free after ECB. The cost is $3.49, but you get $3.49 back instantly on your receipt. The best part is that there are often coupons available that can actually help you earn money… like for the above toothpaste, there are $1 off coupons available, meaning the item would be $2.49, but you get $3.49 in ECBs back. The limit on this toothpaste for this month is 2. So if you wanted to start off small to get into CVSing, the thing to do would be to buy one toothpaste in the first transaction (and use a coupon if you have one, so that you either pay $3.49 or $2.49 in cash), then use the $3.49 ECBs you get back from that first transaction to pay for the second tube of toothpaste, and again, receive $3.49 more in ECBs.
The trick now is to roll your ECBs so that you rarely pay more than maybe a dollar or two in tax on transactions, instead using your ECBs from previous transactions… then earning more to keep doing the same. It's a cycle (and a game/addiction to some, lol.)

We've leaving in the morning to go to KY ...big Christmas party at Patrick's great aunt/uncles house with everyone in his family there. I'm already beat from shopping/wrapping/cooking and then we drove an hour to my parents today and had a big Christmas thing there. I think when we come back on Monday I'll declare Tuesday lay around in our PJs and watch movies and play Wii games day.
Except crap...I've gotta be somewhere at 3...but still it'll be sort of fun fun. I'm getting paid $40 to go to an hour taste test thing for Captain D's. I'm not hugely fond of fish but 40 bucks is 40 bucks, lol.

Slept late today and it felt good.
No plans today other than going to to Hobby Lobby or Micheal's. Gotta get some flowers to put out on my grandparent's grave. I went out there yesterday (was grandmother's birthday plus Christmas) and the flowers are in sad shape. I was able to put 2 new US flags on my grandfather's site.
Kitchen looks like a restaurant, but the DW did a great job keeping the house clean even with the mayhem.
Robert and I went to eat breakfast at Ryan's, then to Walmart, Kmart, Gamestop, and by my mom's. I got my new tree for next year and some new ornaments. He complained the entire time. I wanted to choke him.
