I have been wanting to go to Serandipity in NYC for quite some time now to try their frozen hot chocolate, but whenever we are there, the line is 2 hours long (no exaggeration). Hoping to try again at the end of the month.

I miss Rainforest Crunch Ice Cream from Ben & Jerry's Sadwalk It was my favorite. Oh, and Trader Joe's Caramel yogurt. drool
There was something else in the last year or so I was looking for and was told it was discontinued, now I can't recall what it was. Scratchchin

Taco Bell used to have Roasted Vegetable Fajitas. Being a vegetarian and a lover of Taco Bell, I got it every single time I went there, until they were discontinued. I still love Taco Bell, and have many favorites now (and yay they don't give you grief for ordering things no meat and what not) but nothing will ever compare to the magic that is the Roasted Vegetable Fajita. I wonder if somewhere theres a recipe that will match it sorta...

Pepperidge Farm Star Wars Cookies. Chocolate preferably. It was more about the shape of the cookies than the taste.. although they were pretty awesome.

I really like a lot of limited edition things... then I feel jerked around when they stop making them. Mostly japanese kit kats, hershey kisses, and limited edition pumpkin, gingerbread, and egg nog flavored things.

I agree on the Micro Magic Fries. I loved those when I was a kid - used to dip them in pizza sauce (because I've never liked ketchup!).

And yes, the Jello Pudding Pops of today are nothing like how they used to be - more solid, flatter shape, with that lovely thin layer of ice. The new ones seem to melt too easily too. I really want the old ones back.

I also truly miss Smurfberry Crunch Cereal. Frown

I think these are still made, but I cannot find them in my area!
- Tato Skins chips
- Pizzarias chips
- Charms Sweet & Sour Pops (bought a box of these online once - need to do that again!)

And maybe someone out there can help me remember. Back around 1995 or so, there were a type of Doritos that I think were all white corn (lighter, thinner, maybe?), and had a distinctive salsa flavor. I used to eat them by huge bagfuls, but soon they were all gone. Cannot remember what they were called! Frown

My favourite discontined item is: PLAIN M&MS!!

In the year 2000 the recipe was changed to using SKIM MILK/MILKFAT and they taste horrid now!! (They had been using reg milk for years and were MUCH BETTER!!)

Recently said by Selma Hayek on 30 Rock: "Oh please! Don't try to be senor macho solo! Which is actually what we call a McRib sandwich." It was even the title of the episode. S03E07 - Senor Macho Solo.

The Simpsons did a great episode about the elusive McRib sandwich. S14E12 - I'm Spelling as Fast as I Can [wikipedia.org] revolved around the Krusty Ribwich, a mystery meat Krusty Burger sandwich the masses became addicted to, which was soon discontinued because the animal it was made became extinct.

I think the McRib is one of those weird regional things. I know in some markets it's permanent. Back when they were still around up here in Minnesota, I remember noting that they sold the exact same compressed meat rib patties at the grocery store in the frozen section. They even gave them to us for our school lunch sometimes. (back when a 50-percent-fat-based school lunch wasn't considered a war crime.)

If you want a real interesting spin around the world of McDonald's menu items, try going to Mcdonalds.com and selecting a different country, like Japan or Sweden, from the drop-down box.
