Fast Breaks aren't anything like them IMO. I don't care for them at all.
I used to love Mrs. Grass Chicken Soup (the one with the golden nugget) and couldn't find it for the longest time. It seems now that it is back, though now it's made by Wylers.
(though I have gotten so much free soup the last few months I think I'll be waiting a year or so until I try it again!)

The soft ones are almost like a soft cookie, it was a nice texture as you could really taste the oats and rice puffs that were in the bar. Most of the chewy bars are held together with corn syrup or some other binder which not only makes them too sweet, they tend to be really hard, not like a cookie at all.

Target has a store brand cookie that looks just like this. If there's a Super Target near you, go check them out. It might be the same cookie. I had never noticed them before until your post, then they caught my eye.
