Really? So is my nephew. He just got married this past weekend. Nothing like a wedding with a bunch of firefighters in attendence!!! Just got through the one year mark of the big fire last year here in Charleston, we lost 12, but it was good to make the one year mark so the city can start healing.

Gosh....so sorry about Charleston Crying

Yup, let's see we have a family of them...my dad, my brother, my DH, and several cousins!!! I can just IMAGINE that wedding...I know what you mean about having firefighters at a party....if there's beer involved...they're there!!! Still can't imagine doing what they do but it's what they LOVE!!! Imagine running into a burning building when everyone ELSE is running OUT!!! EEK!

Anyone have experience getting rid of ants? We've lived in this rental house for a year, and have just noticed little brown ants EVERYWHERE! Having no experience with dealing with such things, I am at a loss!!! But they are so annoying - I cannot stand any type of crawly things in my house. And especially not things that might bite me. Frown
I HATE ants!!! We get them occasionally, but not ones that bite! EEK!

DH uses raid, but I don't like using sprays with the kiddos and pets around, so I use cinnamon. Sprinkle it where they are coming in and they won't come back. You will have to "reapply" every few weeks, but they hate cinnamon. Granted it won't kill the ones that are already in the house...

Good luck!!!

I had some in my powder room - we coud not figure out where they were coming from - I read somewhere (this thread I think) to use little ant traps - I think they crawl in and take the food back to their "homes" - it really worked - never saw them again.

I just have to say that I'm so sad that the fur fighters deal is over... they were a nice overage item, but I also really heart them - they actually work really well!!!

Anyway, if anyone out there has just been buying them for overage and doesn't have anything to do with them, I'd love to work out a trade... I'm happy to send you all my durex and durex play Wink

Big Grin

OK, I'm going to Bash my DH. Early this week, we bought 2 shelves for my stockpile during my run with Qs and overages.

However, he went out the next day and bought 1 more shelf, WITHOUT using any COUPONS!!!!!

Eh, he understands about overages, but it did not get pass his head that you DO NOT buy just 1 item with NO COUPON.

His reply, "I got $10 off b/c it's on sale this week."

I'm going to KILL him. Mad

Be on the lookout for large school bus displays of Kelloggs, Keebler, Eggo, Cheeze Its. They have pockets on each corner with these coupon pamphlets, 12 coupons for 2.00 off of x WYB y, coded very nicely!

My nephew is the 'quintessential' Wink calendar fireman, beefed up and gorgeous. Now that he's married my dd doesn't have to deal w/ her friends begging for a fix up..in fact, that's how he met his wife...my dd's friend begging for a fix up!
