I agree, I'm willing to call as well - just let us know!

Oh and am wondering how best to work the goodnites myself. I do have a few $5/2 Target peelies. Anyone know how much the goodnites are?

OT - Okay so a vent and maybe seeking some advice....my mother in law is coming to visit for a few days. We get along pretty well but last time she was here was during the first pantene gc deal. We do 4 things with our "stockpile". 1. Keep some for our immediate and future needs. 2. Donate a portion. 3. Sell at yard sale for extra cash for our other needs. 4. Keep some to give away to friends and family.

Last time mil was here, before she was leaving I was reminding her to take some shampoo, toothpaste, etc. with her. She was taking some and then said "I want to take some of that shampoo and donate it." I did have bags of the shampoo - maybe 20 to 30 bottles that I had not gone through yet. I was caught off guard and asked her if she could at least get me a receipt for tax purposes and she said she wanted to donate to her church and she just puts the stuff in a drop box. I told her we plan to donate that and some other items and I'd prefer to do it so I can get a receipt. She also told me she wanted to donate some of my cat food and I told her that I was saving that for my sister. She said "That's a lifetime supply!". I just ignored that. Later she mentioned to me that she donated some of the toothpaste she took anyways.

So am I crazy in letting this bother me? My mom understands. She says It's not like I'm trying to get rid of this stuff. I just think it's a little strange that she wants to take our items and donate them. I prefer to decide myself what, who, how much is donated.... and to get a receipt for tax purposes. I'm a little stressed now to have her coming, especially with my diaper stash. Any ideas on how to handle that? I mean, we did stock up on a few packs in case we have another but I *really* don't want to say that and get her hopes up and having her constantly ask us about that either.....

Thanks for letting me vent anyway.
Just tell her the dipes are for your friends and coworkers baby showers, you don't want to be caught without gifts and so many are due or coming up preggo's, that you'd swear it was contageous, LOLlaugh out loud

Good one! I you had a slip cover, you could 'build' an extra couch out of the diapers!

I have a full bathroom that I dont use upstairs, as the shower is slanted so my hubby wont fit, so I store all my diapers, paper towels and TP in there behind the shower curtain, you would never know unless you peeked

NCmommy-the trunk is an excellent idea if you have a second car. Just make sure to move over everything else you need and make sure she doesn't go in that car.

On the vents, depends on your system.

For closet, move the shoe racks forward, hide the stash behind the shoe racks
you are truly the masters of storing stockpiles. bounce

Mine changes the diapers and then leaves them on the floor, instead of putting them in the trash... Smilie But, small price to pay for some "me" time - its worth pretty much a WHOLE LOT to be able to spend an hour or two in Target or wherever, going through my coupons, taking my time, without having to worry about keeping 2 little ones happy. Big Grin

Anyone have experience getting rid of ants? We've lived in this rental house for a year, and have just noticed little brown ants EVERYWHERE! Having no experience with dealing with such things, I am at a loss!!! But they are so annoying - I cannot stand any type of crawly things in my house. And especially not things that might bite me. Frown
i personally don't like raid products, the scent alone makes me ill. when we get ants in the house i just spray their trail with windex. kills em and seems to work pretty good at keeping them from coming back. (sometimes need to 'apply' twice)
just make sure you clean and rinse counters and such well when you are 'done'. Big Grin

You did?? how awesome!! My niece just applied..after the big fire last year though, I worry about my nephew, and to be honest, I hope my niece decides on something else. My nephew is an EMT also. Much respect from me!!!
It's tough work, especially for volunteers because you don't have shifts, you're basically always on. That's how I met my husband though. I wouldn't trade anything for the year and a half I did it before having the baby. He still does EMT work on the side. I'm going to renew my license and hopefully get back to it when the baby is school age.

TERRO ant baits are the best, if you have kids or pets make sure you get the liquid in the traps not the bottle of gel.

It's going around here too Ariel. I spoke with DS doc today on the weekend doses and mentioned he's been coughing, sneezing and off. And I woke up this morning with my throat killin me and achy. She says that we probably got it when we were in their office Mon and she apologizes but everyone there has had it within past couple of weeks. Great, thanks for warning

DH doc is treating for Lyme since he will most likely get it now so we have to pick up an RX tomorrow. Again. Lucky for me, one of my magic coupon envies today had a Target RX coupon in there. Bringing it to CVS tomorrow!
