I better never meet up with the toy coupon defrauder. I would hurt them. They have cost me a bundle.

Just a quickie--still didn't feel well enough to run to Target, going to sleep early and hope for best tomorrow. But guess what, DS last 3 numbers were better. Here's for hoping!!!

In the end, it doesn't matter what monitor, lancer or milk we give him, it just matters that he's healthy again. We'll probably stick with the one touch for a while although we'll be trying the freestyle definitely at some point when we get the free one. Two ladies from my forum have a box of extras so those will help. And with the ones Dec12girl, Teri037 and pretzels have, I can definitely get through at least 3 months!
Yay little guy!

Oh and that toy coupon person better not ever come near me either, I used that coupon every time I went in target. I was thinking about it again when I was looking at all the new play wonder toys you know I am going to buy!

My two cents......

Getting your belly button pierced for a second time through scar tissue is no worse than the first time. Took it out as the my ex-husband thought I was "too old" for it. Whatever! So I got it done again after we separated Smilie

Secondly - none of you mentioned Kotex tampons. They get my vote!

And Double - I don't think you have anything to worry about with strips. We're all taking care of you!

Oh my word ... I had multi-quoted a ton of stuff, but must have been away from the puter too long, because it didn't post them... Oh well. Frown

About stormycat's son teething - isn't it crazy when they try and cut 4-6 teeth at a time?! Both my kids did that, and I felt so bad for them... Thankfully, it just made them irritable, not necessarily super fussy. But their appetite did go away for a good while - once your son's gums are comfy again, he'll be back to eating with a vengeance. Smilie

My story about getting my Sunday papers this week - so upsetting! Still waiting to put a call in to Safeway, but I was so infuriated. Its a very long story, but basically, my cashier had overheard a "discussion" from last week where my cashier on that evening denied me using multiple coupons for items. He said the whole "one per purchase" thing. Called manager out of his office, who was of the same inclination. I told him I was giving money for each item purchased, blah, blah, blah, he would have none of it. Showed him different coupons in my folder that had different wording, indicating only one per customer, etc., he said that was just because they were different manufacturers. Anyway, I was not backing down and he finally said, "OK, you can do it just this once, and I will call tomorrow and get confirmation of the true policy." OK, whatever, dude. I'm not asking for favors - just asking for the correct interpretation of the coupon.

ANYWHO - go on Sunday, to use up the rest of my Marathon catalinas and Windex catalinas. I figured I'd buy their 2/$2 Sunday papers, and then get a $15 Starbucks gc with the rest, and only have one or two Windex catalinas left over. I read over the coupons oh-so-carefully to make sure gift cards weren't excluded, etc. Also to make sure you could use more than one per transaction. Virtually no exclusions on these catalinas, except maybe for alcohol.

Cashier rings up my purchase, and I hand over the catalinas. He stares at me, and then says (in VERY broken English, we're talking hardly understandable) I can only use one. I swear my mouth fell open, and I asked him what in the world he was talking about. He hadn't even looked at the stupid things! Long story short (Stick Out Tongue ), he had apparently seen/heard me talking with the manager last week, and assumed he knew the whole story, which in actuality he did not. He was determined to refuse me trying to "get away" with using more than the one allowed coupon per purchase. Unbelievable. I was steamed that he could be so dense like that, and demanded he ask a manager. He went over and talked to a lady, came back and repeated what he had said earlier. I was like, "Um, no, I need to speak to a manager MYSELF!"

She comes over, ends up not being a native English speaker as well (not dissing, but it is SO frustrating because for whatever reason, they just DO NOT understand the whole concept of coupons!), and repeats to me that the "computer will only allow" one coupon per purchase. Confused "Uh, ma'am, he didn't even TRY to scan my coupons!!!" Then she had to backpedal and state their policy was only one coupon per purchase. Stupid, stupid, stupid!!! She also never ONCE looked at the catalinas to read the restrictions. I have no idea what the cashier told her when he went over to her the first time, but it quite obviously was something very negative and she was determined to protect her store from the evil coupon lady.

I asked her, more than once, to show me on the coupon where it said I could use only one. She refused to look at it. I asked her, "Does your store have a coupon policy in writing?" "Maybe", she says. MAYBE?!? I asked her to go look in her office for it, as she was denying me a purchase, she needed to have proof for that! She refused, told me to call corporate in the morning. EXCUSE ME?!

It was quite obvious I had hit a brick wall, so I made a huge show of writing down her name and informed her I was calling customer service to complain about her by name. She then asked me for my name and said she was calling corporate herself to complain about me?!?!? I'm like, "Um, I"M THE CUSTOMER HERE, LADY!!!"

By the time I got to the car, sans newspapers and Starbucks gift card, I was almost in tears, but I determined that evil woman was NOT going to make me cry. So wrong on so many levels, but the worst was her making a huge scene about something that she knew pretty much nothing about. She didn't even try to hear my side, she completely believed her cashier, and would not bend even a centimeter.

Now I just have to figure out the best way to contact Safeway. Its not the first time I've had issues at this store, and I refuse to go back (and my husband won't LET me go back after that treatment!) until every cashier and manager in that store has been properly trained in coupon policies.

Sorry about the HUGE rant, but now I feel a little better, 'cause I know you all can feel my pain! Big Grin

But I don't know if I'm justified in thinking she was in the wrong for being so rude to me about it.. or if I really am the 'hoard' she made me feel like. I don't think I'm a coupon 'hoard' because as I said above 14 papers is not a lot.. but wanted to see what you all thought and what you would have said to her if it had been you. maybe I really am an egotistical person for thinking/ feeling the way I do about what happened yesterday. EEK!
She was definitely PMsing... If she hassles you again, you can let her know that you'll be sure to save her a paper if there is a Q for Midol... because you're a "giver" Wink

Or you could just print one of these to give her if you see her - courtesy of Bricks - Midol Q

my store had a whole pile of assorted games for in the kids games for V-tech, I think it is called and other young kids games. They were 75% off and no one was even looking at them. Is there any that people are looking for?The had lots of different kinds. I'd be glad to check and mail them out. I don't think the postage would be very high on these.
I would be interesting depending on the prices of the games!!! I am interested in all games for 3-5 years of age, but especially Dora or Diego games!! I will PM you as well Smilie TIA!

I just laughed so hard I think I peed a little bit!!! Rofl2 You guys are so funny that my siggy is going to change daily! Slow down, I can't keep up!!! Evil:

Okay so here's my biatching session......guess what happened to my son (well, he's not human but canine....10 lb silky terrier) My DD screams, MOMMMMMM...."Toby is under the sun room (there's a little opening underneath it in our back yard) and he's barking and won't come out and I think there's something under there." So after about 5 minutes of trying to coerse him out. He backs out really quick with his face dripping wet, sneezing and smelling like A$$. YUP, you got it, he got sprayed by a SKUNK!!! Figures he couldn't get sprayed in the back end...he got it STRAIGHT in the face!!!

So here's me trying to carry him without touching the spray on his face and ordering the kids to go open up some tomato soup cans and I'm in the laundry room tub scrubbing him with tomato soup (he looks like a drowned rat at that point). Mind you this is after 10:00 and I'm getting ready to go to bed!!! So I'm doing this and I remember that my cousin works for a vet and I'm asking my kids to call her at 10 at night. So she tells me some concoction of baking soda, peroxide and dish soap and I figure I'll use DAWN since I've seen those commercials where they clean up the oil-soaked ducks with it so it should work on skunk spray. Ahhhh well.... not so much.

Needless to say the house and dog (although not as bad) still are a bit odiferous!!! Faint

My cousin is going to bring me home some special stuff from the vet today (some sort of skunk deodorizer or something). So if you smell skunk odor today.....I may just be nearby!!! LMAO
