First PM gets a bunch of coupons I picked up at Dollar General. They are MFQs, but you can easily cut off the half of the coupon that says Dollar General and use them anywhere.

The coupons are for $1 off Pantene, $1 off two Old Spice, and $1 off Herbal Essences. All expire end of August.
These work fine at Target, no beeps. Smilie

omg i LOVE that my 3 yo can get in the fridge! in the door ong the bottom shelf is all her stuff (small water bottles, juice boxes, those half size cans of sprite) and she can also use the water on the door of the fridge alone. plus if she ever wants fruit or cheese or anything like that she can make it herself too. she's a little do-it-yourselfer and i like giving her the freedom to do stuff for herself if she can. i also have a low cabinet that i have designated "the snack cabinet" all the crackers, applesauce, granola bars, cookies, etc are in there and if she ever wants something she goes and gets it out and brings it to me to ask permission. so that has worked out well too. only problem is that now since my 1yo is walking she gets everything out and wants cookies and cries when i take them away. so yesterday we installed a baby lock and taught the 3 yo how to open it. she feels all grown up now! laugh out loud anyway, they're pretty good about not going where they're not supposed to in the kitchen otherwise i'd have everything locked down too!
I am with you Andrea! I LOVE that they can help themselves, it's their father (notice I don't use DH Evil) that doesn't want them helping themselves. Of course, it's not HIM they go to all the time when they want something.....it's ME!

Wave mama!

Update on mom: Dr is happier with the way her leg looks, but not happy with the amount of draining it is still doing. He sent her home, but told her to keep her leg elevated more and still not put any weight on it. She goes back to him next Friday. We'll just take it one day at a time for now.

Well I'm out of here, will be back on Mon or Tuesday depending on the kid. We took him in today, his A1C is higher but that's also because he isn't stable yet. His sugars are so high today but he has a cold and a ton of mosquito bites. They reviewed our test results with us from the hospital and unfortunately his thyroid tests came back high. So we have to go in Mon or Tues (they wanted today or tomorrow, I pleaded insanity) and have it redone to confirm. He may have to go for treatment and would be on permanent medication. Let's all pray that he doesn't, the kid has gone through enough. Rough day here. We are finishing up work/packing etc

On the bright side, they gave us a bag full of strips, insulin and supplies to last a couple of months so that's pretty nice!
Will be praying about the thyroid, but you enjoy your trip!! Try for that fam pic Wink YAY for the supplies!!!!

I will probably get flamed for this but I feel that people who claim that their Target says that they take ETQs are in denial. (Like the posters who claim that their store is still taking the diaper cpns)There is very little chance IMO that a cashier who actually sees an expired date, especially a 2005 or 2006 cpn, would still take it. If so, they deserve to get fired. Do people cut the dates off? I This isn't meant to seem like I blame people for trying to use them (legitimately) b/c it is the cashier's responsibility to inspect the cpns, but if their policy really was to take anything that scans, including expireds, why put a date on them to begin with?

Sorry for the rant.
Hide
Just a question and not directed at anyone in particular...but, I often hear "it is the cashier's job to inspect the coupon", but when the cashier does her job and inspects coupons and tries to match them up with product, we get bent out of shape and feel we are being treated like a "criminal". Why is that? If our runs are "legit" with all legit coupons and items, why do some feel like they're being treated like a criminal, when the cashier is only trying to do her job? I'm just curious on people's reactions. If anyone would like to comment, let's move it to chat. In fact, I'll copy this post over to chat

Again...I'm not throwing stones or pointing fingers.....I am far from perfect in my shopping ways. I was just curious on what people thought. Smilie

This is so true! I am not a really serious coupon shopper, but when my coupons get denied for whatever reason I do get flustered and feel like im doing something wrong! I think if the coupon scans and the cashier takes it they will make their money back on it. Smilie

I'm not sure that's true though. We've heard reports of companies not reimburseing a store for q's when they have not sold that many items. For example, the $5 Durex q for personal massagers. Target doesn't sell that product. If they turn in thousands of mq's to get reimbursed on, will the manufacturer actually reimburse them for the q's when they didn't sell the product??

I'm not sure, I've kind of been out of the loop lately...but I think something was on sale or a TPC for $4.99 maybe, so it made it cheap. Dontknow for sure.

I don't feel like a criminal. And I've never been treated like one. But then again, I don't have $175.xx brought down to $10.xx on my shopping trips, either. Not trying to offend anyone because I basically don't know how anyone shops here or what their numbers are, but to me - that is a red flag and would grab major attention at my stores. If the cashier wants to match up to items, that's fine with me. I've never had heart palpitations, never had an attack of nerves over coupon use. I've never broke out in sweat, I've never worried about what they'll find in my stack of coupons and I've never worried that I'll be arrested or escorted out of the building. laugh out loud I'll defend the cashier on this one. I'm not going to get pissed off just because they are trying to protect themselves and their job. But most of the time, my cashiers just glance at the q's.. maybe occasionally stopping to check an item here or there, but for the most part, just scanning. Sometimes I get one that will want to check most of my items, but it's rare. However, if I DID legitimately bring down a $175.xx buggy to $10.xx, I would fight for it every step of the way if I was given any problems over it. I don't have a problem standing up for correct and legitimate coupon usage. But mostly I've gotten my visits down to saving about 60% - 80%, and that's dang good for me.. I'll settle for that, happily. Stick Out Tongue

I posted yesterday that i used the exp diaper coupon. ( it exp 7/31) I don't know if it was directed at my post--however thought it was very common practice for people using expired coupons for 30 days. I know that the newer coupons do beep expired 30 days after the exp on the coupon.

I see multiple people asking for coupons that were just recently pulled from other sites. Am I missing something here???

This was a Target coupon I was referring to using, not a manu.

Ok but common sense would tell me, "Hey, these companies are professional and they are only open to make money." If a Q expires but the computer still takes it up to 3 and beeps on the 4th one then they must have it set up some how that they will make their money no matter what. I am pretty sure that's the reason it will only take 3 ETQ'S. Maybe they get reimbursed up to 3 ETQ on 1 cashed out receipt. IDK but that would make sense to me!
