Costco is offering the KitchenAid 6 QT 590 Watt Professional Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer [costco.com] in your choice of Silver, Red, or Black for $269.99. Add in the $25 off a $250 purchase coupon that can be found at local stores, on THIS THREAD, or by a quick phone call to Costco customer services at 800-955-2292. End cost is $244.99 before taxes. Shipping is free. Sale price is valid through 11/27/16.

I *highly* recommend the Professional line KitchenAid mixers over the typical 5QT models that are always for sale. If you ever do a double batch of cookies, or intend to mix bread dough (especially wheat/whole grain), the extra power/size is a must!

Just beware, the Costco models do not support standard attachments, you have to buy all attachments at Costco.

This is incorrect. Costco moved away from their "exclusive" version based on member feedback and went back to the standard 6qt format. I have this mixer, and it fits all attachments/extra bowls.

If you look up the model number on Google it is a Costco specific model. It does not exist anywhere else.
KP26M9XC is the model.
The standard model is KP26M1X.

Yes, they use their own SKU, but the KP26M*** is the same base mixer. Again, **I HAVE THIS MIXER** and it works with all accessories, including slicer/shredder, extra bowl, scraper beaters, etc.

If you go to the KitchenAid website, you will notice everything in the sku after the KP26M is the **color designation**. Note that the sku changes with each color choice. http://www.kitchenaid.com/shop/co...KP26M1XBU/

Actually, I prefer this special "Costco" model as it's slightly more powerful (590W versus the standard 575W).

Wrong. My costco pro 6 model works just fine with my smokehouse SS meat grinder attachment... Put 50+lbs through it.

With older gen ones they worked with that generation attachments but were not backwards compatible like standard mixers.

So does anyone actually have this exact model and can vouch that this works with the OE attachments?

No, the only standard attachment that does not fit is the bowl. Apparently the bowl is just a tad different, but all front attachments work with no issues.

Actually, this fits the standard 6QT bowl from the 575W Mixer, which you can buy extras of on Amazon here - https://www.amazon.com/KitchenAid...+6+qt+bowl.

What others are referring to for "bowl fit issues" are the previous KitchenAid 6000 6QT Contour mixer, which had a flared lip on the bowl - Costco did carry this mixer for a few years, but went back to the standard style. Here's a link to the Contour for reference - https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00A4...ture-scomp

**ALL** models have the same "power hub" for accessories like the grinder/slicer, juicer, pasta attachment, spiralizer, etc. Those all plug in at the top under the flip-up "KitchenAid" metal door at the very top front.

I know that BF is a ways away but...

15% off coupon ends November 25th so you can certainly use it for these deals.

Ad which needs to be viewed on a computer:

My go to this year is the 6 QT Kitchenaid Professional Stand Mixer which will be on sale for $409.99 - $50 MIR. So, $409.99 with a 15% off coupon is $348.49 add a cheap filler to get over 350 so you earn $105 in kohls cash, then submit the MIR for an additional $50. You are paying $298.49 for the mixer and also getting 105 in KC to use later, if you factor in the KC in the price of the mixer its $193.49.

Helpful for me as I don't have a Costco membership (or a costco near me)

Personally I chose pro 5qt than 6qt. The only reason is that the 6qt has higher "minimum dough amount" than 5qt, although there is no such thing determined by KA, it is really annoying when I try to make small amount of bread.

Where do you find this information? This is really useful to know, thanks.

Silver, Red, or Black. The silver is backordered a bit (just a few extra days).
