I use these at a escape room business I helped get going. They work fine. Very sturdy I have 32's on them and one 55inch. I don't remember but paying just a buck or 2 more so I'm not sure why this is such a hot deal.. But they are well worth the money...

Couple of valuable features this mount lacks, especially for larger screens:
* level adjustment
* rotate adjustment (4th degree of motion)

Nothing looks worse than a crooked big screen. The construction materials and the above are why I went with a Sanus mount from Costco. It was twice the price, though.

Make sure you measure twice and drill your mount holes *exactly* on center with this one.

My TV uses 200x200mm and weighs ~35lbs. It's 55in though, any reason I couldn't use this?

I have a similar mount - Spider brand.

Its ok, nothing that stands out.

Here are some cautions -
  • It must be anchored to a stud. Dont use the drywall screws. They are worthless. The hole pattern sucks - use just two bolts dead center of the stud. Goes without saying - drill a pilot/drive hole before you screw the anchor bolts - Otherwise you risk cracking the stud.

    While these are rated for 55 lbs, I would be nervous about anything over 35 lbs.

    I wouldnt go over 32" on the screen size.

    If you need to use the swivel on a regular basis - forget it. The hex nut is pretty tight and the mount is meant to be left alone. If you loosen the center arm hex nut, the whole mount tends to wiggle.

    I use it (27" 20lb TV), I dont touch it, would I buy it again - NO!

Hope that helps.

Repped sphere2040. Ditto on his comments. The Sanus @Costco and the Omnimount @Sams are better than this cheap mount. This is SD, though... And the club items are twice the price easily. IMO, they're twice the quality.

Do you have a link or model number on the one you got from Costco?

Please do not this "single stud" mount! These style mounts have done nothing but cost me money. I bought 3 cheetah brand mounts identical to this one and have lost a 32" vizio and broken the bezel of a 40" Samsung as a result. I would recommend a more sturdy mount with two arms extending from the wall to the TV. Just my two cents.
