Any wine connoisseurs here?

Just wondering...I'm not at all. But I enjoy visiting the dozens and dozens of wineries and vineyards within an hour or so of my home in Winston-Salem, NC. I don't really appreciate fine wine, but the Yadkin Valley here is gorgeous. And some of them grow Multipulciano* grapes.
I don't really care for Multipulciano. It's a red wine. But I love saying it.
As a bonus, we visited Multipulciano during our trip to Europe this past summer. (ibt "look at me!...etc").
Also, I happen to be drinking the last of a box of Oak Leaf wine from Walmart. It's my favorite cheap wine.

And I pretty much stick with a Pinot Grigio or a Reisling, regardless of what I'm eating.

cabernet , spell check
These days he's drinking
Iter (Pinot)
Most of the Passo Robles reds are good.
One of our favs was always Clayhouse red blend, DH still drinks it.
If we wanted to splash out on a more expensive wine for a special occasion it's always Justin Iscoceles or the Justin Justification, they're usually in the $50 to $75 range but are worth it.
Of course when I asked DH what wines he has now, he started listing, "Well, my knees ache, they also pop sometimes, my neck is a bit sore..."
Other than cooking, I'd recommend a Kendall-Jackson or Firestone vineyards wine for reasonable price and excellent quality.

For the most part any wine that isn't in a bottle with a screw-off cap or if it has been poured into a glass it is way out of my league.
I wish they still made Country Kwencher
I miss far too many things from the 80s

Most good wines can be had for <$20.
That said, my wife and I enjoy wines from the Tuscany region of Italy and a good Chateauneuf.
