I agree, but that is not the purpose of getting a life insurance.

For someone with kids in college, mortgage and car loans, it's best to get a term life insurance. This term policy can be the sole policy or as an additiional policy to your current UL.

Why term? Cheaper and it takes care of this critical period of debts if you die.

There is a new "Returnable of Premium" Term, where you will get back all of your premiums paid at the end of your term period. Cost more than the tradiitional term, but you get your $$$ back. Consider that as a saving account...

Thanks, DS.

Is there a Q for vitamin water to use with that? If not, I won't be able to use it. Unless, there a way around it. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Hubby was talking about someone at work that got a front loading washer/dryer. I told him no way until we run out of regular laundry detergent and have all DS bills paid off. I have 36 bottles left so it will be a while.
I multi-quoted everyone but it was a lot. . . so I'll just say, we've been using regular detergent for the last three years, I usually do 1/2 the suggested amount, though after reading the discussion here I may cut back further. My DH always believes that "more is better" so I have to intervene with him before he doubles the amount they suggest. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

They make special "HE" detergents to use with these machines. BUT a lot of people use regular detergent just fine, just use like half of what it says for the smallest load. So about a teaspoon or so. Smilie We have an LG Steam washer and LOVE it. I always buy HE detergent because it says the warrenty is void if you don't. But the warrenty is almost up at this point and I may just buy the other. I only can use ALL free and clear and it's a heck of a lot easier to find that if I am not buying the HE kind. Then I can buy it on clearance, too!

I wish Target sold dryers. I want a new matching dryer. TOTALLY unncessary, just a want.

...

That is the same washer I have the LG Steam washer and the matching dryer (the blue set). I got them last year, and I didn't buy the extended warranty, so I guess hubby will have to fix them if anything goes wrong. Unless it is to major, and he can't figure it out then we will pay big $ I am sure.

I often wonder if the regular detergent would really hurt it. I have used it a few times, when I get samples, but have not used the few regular detergent bottles that I got for very cheap. I was a little afraid, but not sure what it could really do to the washer, but leave to much detergent in your clothes or something.

As it is I am starting to add higher levels of the HE detergent anyway, because I don't think the clothes smell as fresh with less. Like for instance I am using closer to the maximum load detergent amount on medium loads, the medium amount on smaller loads, and more than the cheer says to use on larger dirty loads. The detergent opening on the washer shows it can hold twice as much as a maximum Cheer measurement of detergent from the bottle, so I think it is OK. The clothes smell better anyway.

I hate on this washer if you don't leave the door open for the washer to air out, and don't thoroughly clean the rubber seal around the door the washer gets moldy smelling.

Harder to find the better deals on the HE detergent I think. Does All make an HE detergent, might be a deal there to be found if so.

Iagree about clothes not smelling as fresh, I love the way Tide smells on my clothes and now that I am using less, I can definitely tell the difference Frown

I also don't like leaving the door open, but the washer repairman said you should always. Frown Also he suggested using Washer Magic [summitbrands.com] once in a while to help with the smell and prevent mold. I think he said to use half a bottle at once, but I could be wrong. I still need to go out and get this stuff Smilie

Yeah that is what I have been using as well mostly Tide, not so much Cheer, I get the two confused when I think about what detergent I use. The HE Tide smells better than the HE Cheer to me (and cleans a little better), and using less Tide or Cheer in a HE washer does make a big difference in smell. Check it out though the new Tide total care has a much better smell for your clothes in the HE kind, compared to regular tide.

I noticed right away! I finished my jug of regular HE Tide, and did a load with the HE Tide total care. The load smelled much fresher than the last. I am happy for that at least. Maybe I won't have to use so much then. Doesn't it feel strange to use such a little bit of detergent to clean such a large load, like you can't possibly be cleaning all that?

It does!!! Then the washer repairman (I talk about him like he is like a god to me laugh out loud) explained it all though, and it made a lot of sense. Regular washers use about 90 GALLONS of H2O a load OMG whereas HE ones only use about 12 gallons.

I guess, my machine wasn't that much more than the other washers (I got it on sale and such, after all I am a SD'er Wink) and I feel good about it. I am not saying it for everyone, just sharing what I learned last week Smilie
