It sounds like it would work, except for some of your powerade coupons. Only because you get 10 for free with the V water, and your other coupons say buy 10 powerade get five free. You only have 10 left to work with that aren't already free. So your other 10 powerade you would be buying, so you would have to grab 5 more to get for free. Then you would be left with 1 buy 10 get five for free powerade coupon.

Also for goodness sake don't leave a load in a front loader after washing with the door closed, and forget about them. I have done that many a times, and they start smelling moldy before the next day. You will have to rewash. Stick Out Tongue I just got the Tide total care and have only done a few loads a few days ago, but I think it is a big improvement. I want to do some laundry now to get caught up, but I have been trying to avoid washing clothes during peek electric times to save on the electric bill (saw this in an electric news letter, they claim you save a lot to wash later at night, or earlier in the morning).
Quote from ArielA :
I have done that before Yuk some times I have to rewash 2 or 3 times to make the smell go away!! It is horrible! Sometimes, if I can't start the dryer right away for whatever reason, I open the door on the washer and leave it open. That seems to help nod
Quote from gypsylady :
Yeap, leave the door open to wait for when you will dry the clothes. This will save them, at least for a while. nod I always have to remember not to forget.
Quote from WhiteElephant :
I've done that a ton. Just add some baking soda or Arm & Hammer detergent. It eliminates the smell.
Hi ladies! All this laundry talk is making me want to go wash some clothes * NOT * LMAO.

What I do when I leave laundry in the washing machine and it starts to get all smelly is first, swear like a truck-driver, then either re-wash right away with some Lysol (pourable) or dry them first (without dryer sheet - why waste it) and then just re-wash as normal.

The whole idea is that mold starts to grow so you either have to kill it with something like Lysol or kill it by drying it out in the dryer, then washing it away in the regular wash cycle. Always works for me and haven't ruined an article of clothing yet. I've also found that if you wash your whites with bleach you can leave them for an extra day without worry about "the smell".... but I've never done that Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) , uh, yeah....

Hi DS - I'm not an insurance salesperson and don't pretend to be one, and Trang, I don't know what you do or question for one moment your insight, but DS before you cancel that policy you should inquire about your son's insurability later in life. Borrowing from a life insurance policy for school expenses is not as beneficial as how they advertised. There are fees and payback cost when you borrow out. That is not the purpose of a life policy, but many will try to sell it that way.

Gerberr's policy is around $10K, right? My point, kids shouldn't have a life policy. Reason: kids don't need life insurance. Of course, I would never tell you to cancel - that is up to you and your DH to make that important decision.

To cut monthly expense, maybe you can cut corners elsewhere. Eat out less, not using too much gas for unneccesary trips, cut cable (I don't think you have that), go shopping less... a little bit here and there will add up.
I have the 10K Gerber for my girls, it would cover the funeral if something tragic happened. I don't like to think that way, but....that is about the cost of a funeral/grave/gravestone. with maybe some for medical expenses, cause my kid won't go without a fight.

So today was a work/preschool day, and school got out an hour early so we could avoid peak traffic with all the evacuees in town.

For me traffic was not going to be an issue since I head toward Houston from Austin, not the other way, so the usuall Friday night traffic with all the people heading TOWARD Houston was not there. YAY.

Anyway since I am psyckic this way, heehee, I hung around and did my shopping, this way I offset the 7 dollars it takes me in gas to take my girls to private school everyday instead of the "free" public school I could walk to.

Sooo, today I bought ran thru the Khols checkout 3 times, 2 sets of lacy socks, and 2 bags of halloween 20pk Playdoug OOP $2.36

Walmart returns(I had bought dance tights then got them for $2 at Khols early this week)
nuts in there so no shopping.

Target 7 Kashi waffles - 7 $1 MQ's
1 Kashi oatmeal
2 Wriglies gum (thank you whoever sent me the gum Q's!)
used one at the register and got full value 1.29
2 Mightydog where .50 each and she gave me full value of .99 each.
$6.xx OOP used previous GC and got $10 in new GC.

One of my waffles rang up wrong so got some back at customer service, and can get a price another $1 back on Monday when I can get another q printed.

Why did I not have enough q's, No ink in either printerFrown

Walgreens stop BOGO ink refill had two empty inks, plus bought a new ink, guy yesterday printed me a 10/40 q and left it with my ink refill I dropped off yesterday.
Plus got some of the easysaver rebate items.

Buying the ink cartriges new on this printer is $40 bucks, so I feel awesome about 2 for $10!
CVS last stop needed some Musinex for dh, he is on blood pressure meds and can only take certain things for congestion. used up the rest of my ecb's, one q and soda's for my patientWink children.

Nice though my rideshare girlfriend had her dh pick up the kids so I didn't have 4 in tow, just my two tired cranky rugrats.

Thanks ladies I have no one else to share my deals with, and I feel so good about today, and my family and friends would just roll there eyes at me

I hate on this washer if you don't leave the door open for the washer to air out, and don't thoroughly clean the rubber seal around the door the washer gets moldy smelling.

Harder to find the better deals on the HE detergent I think. Does All make an HE detergent, might be a deal there to be found if so.
They sell this stuff called "Affresh" at Lowe's, Best Buy, and Home Depot. It's 7 or $8 for 3 or 4 little tablets that you use to clean out your washer once a month. Works better than just using the bleach cycle.

I was reading through a laundry forum on ivillage before I bought my machine and people with HE machines also discovered if they used OxyClean in their wash it had the same affect as the Affresh tablets and their machines NEVER smelled moldy. I add a teaspoon to every warm or hot wash I have. (the Oxy free kind, of course)

yes, All makes an HE detergent. Three different scents, 2 that often go on clearance at Target Smilie. We can only use the unscented kind, which NEVER goes on clearance. I wish I had nice smelling clothes! DH and DD have horribly sensitive skin though. I have semi-sensitive skin.

isn't that the worst? some days I put my clothes in after breakfast, then clean, make lunch, forget about them, and come bedtime I realize they are still wet inthe washer and a third of the time they already smell moldy! yuck!

I think that you only save on your electric bill if you are charged on a metered setting per hour. Some places do, and you definately will save if you use it during off-peak times (after dinner, early am). My company doesn't charge like that but in the summer when I know ACs are blaring I try to do my laundry in the evening just to not stress the power grid.

before even looking at new machines, check with your water, gas, and electric company for rebates. I have saved money for each new appliance I have bought because I applied for those rebates.

trying to plan my son's 7th bday party next month. I DO NOT want it here. no where else is cheap, though! any ideas? we are thinking park, chuck e cheese... looked into some of those inflatable jumper places, or family fun parks, but they are like $25/child...gag...

After they do the first Robi deal and get the $10 RR, they should do the Crest and (2) Cakesters and pay with the $10 RR, then get bacl $4.50 RR and a $3 RR to use with the $10/40 and include a Robi set in that deal...make sense? but they couldn't use those RR on another Crest or Cakester..win some, lose some
I'm a little lost on this one... I did the Robi deal and got the $10RR. I see the Crest, which is on the back page of my WAGS flyer. But I've been through the flyer three times and still can't see the deal on the Cakesters RR. Can someone please tell me what page they're on? Thanks!!

It's not in the ad. I believe someone on the boards got a print out announcement of the deal, which they've run a couple of times in the last few months. It claims you must buy 2 packs of cookies + milk, but the milk is optional. Big Grin

Do you have life insurance for your kids?
Quote from doublesided :
We got this gerber policy for DS last year. We calculated that what we put into it, he can get out and use for college expenses. Was going to cancel to save $ but now I'm wondering if I should keep it with the diabetes so he can have guaranteed insurance for life. Trang?
DS, I have to agree with dpags. Not to get on a debate about whether kids should have life insurance or not. But my concern is with your sons diabetes. He may be uninsurable later. As a life and health agent, I see this ALOT. Just do some research before you cancel your existing policy. If that Gerber policy converts when he gets older, it may be worth keeping. As he gets older, even if he can get coverage, his premiums will be very pricey, even on term policies.

I am so sad tonight, the kitty lovers will understand.

I have 3 cats (had 4, but 1 was put down last yr), and they are a part of my family.

Anyway Jasmine my 19 yr old black kitty, started losing weight before we went on vacation. She has been dropping weight, but still up and around and didnt seem to be in any pain. I just figured she was starting to feel her age. Well within the last week she has been sleeping under Dh's desk a lot.

3 days ago I saw her and she had some matted fur on her cheek, but she was drinking so I didnt think anything of it. Dh tried to wake her up under her desk later that night and she wouldnt respond until he petted her. Today she came down and got up on the couch and gave me a look, the please help me look. That is when I saw it. She has what appears to be a large gumball mass on her cheek, and a huge mass on her side.

The thing grew in 3 days. I am so brokenhearted. I feel like crap for not taking her to the vet sooner, but she was just an old kitty, know what I mean. Now she has a huge tumor growing and her eyes said it all to me. Also when I call her she doesnt come any more, I think she is deaf now as well. All in a few weeks.

I am taking her in tomorrow. I have been crying half the night. I will miss my old girl.

thanks for listening to me ramble

Stormy, huge hug and purrs and head bonks to you and to Jasmine from our gang here.

Please don't blame yourself!! Older kitties do sleep alot and she came to you when she needed help.

When we lost our kitty to FIP he hid for an entire day and then it was the weekend so we couldn't take him to the vet until Monday. I still blame myself for that, so I know how you feel. Frown

I totally agreed with both of you. Not try to scare - I didn't want to say that if DS cancelled the policy and the unexpected happened to her son.... Something to think about as many have mentioned the expenses that can occur...

It's a big decision to decide b/c you certainly don't want any regrets.
