[QUOTE=BFshopgirl;12924883]I have Gerber Life on all 4 of my kids -- I dont think they are 'the debt' but I would be...I dont save $$$ so rould not be able to cover funeral costs & most of all I/we would not be able to work...I have it as a just in case.

The policy is for 4 kids $10k each & DH & I each have $50k term -- Our monthly payment is $51.00. I know that is a lot (we also have addition plans for us too) but I just cant imagine how I would react & for how long so its my safety ner. make sense?

I used to work for accounting firm for funeral homes - not actually in a funeral home. Funerals run about $8000-$10000 (children's run more expensive, but I think the owners get alot of add-ons - preying on emotion). And that's not counting medical bills, time off for work, burial plot. I have like an add-on plan for the kids with our life insurance. If you are a current military or civil service federal government employee - check out usba.com

Thank you for the info on Lingo Thuctrang Smilie It looks interesting specially if I can get an international phone number.. too bad the country I wanted is not yet available... soon hopefully. I'll keep an eye on this one. The one we have now is Teleblend (after the Sunrocket Bankruptcy thing) which is still ok but if I can make international calls for cheap, I would love to get that instead... nod
We have used lingo for like 3-4 years now and love it!

After you give them to bblueskye, I could also use some. Blush Don't want to be a jerk; she asked first and all, but if anyone has overflowing piles of these. . .

Sigh, I just finished writing out a condolence card to a friend of my mom's who just lost her kitty of 20 years. Frown Of course I broke down while writing it. hug out there to all the animals and animal lovers.

You know who you are... and Thank you for being so special...
Wow!! That was an amazing post!! hug to your family, EEK! and LMAO about the customs creeps. And, what a cool job, cake decorator. You should post some pics of the cakes you've done.

Hi everyone!

Hey I read back about a month ago (not sure if it was this thread or the Target Deals thread) where some of you ladies were getting the "All You" magazine filled with coupons really cheap.

I see on the All You website it's $21.24 for 12 issues, but since I'm such a deal shopper I'm wondering if I can subscribe to it at a cheaper rate?

Can anyone help me out? If so, would you be kind enough to PM me? Thanks a million times over!!!! Smilie

jimmwalt
There was a deal with magazines.com and http://search.live.com/cashback where they were running a special to get like 60% cash back on purchases. It changes all the time; right now it's only 25% so that's only OK.

You can also subscribe through qsp.com and benefits somebody's kid's school. I think it's $20 for 2 years.

Quote from jimmywalt :
Does this seem legit???? I have spent the last 2 hours searching the internet for a good price on the ALL YOU magazine subscription. I've seen a couple websites that direct back to this SouthernLivingAtHome site were you can get 2 years (24 issues) for $18 bucks.

Here is a link to one of the ladies who hosts for Southern Living

What do you think?

Thanks.
This is legit. On another board I read lots of peeps subscribe through the SLAH reps.

YAY I got Ryans ticket booked today, I will be in Oralnod and the Sebastian area 10/14-10/21.

Am I crazy? I am thinking of taking him to Disney world one day, Magic Kingdom of course. His ticket is free and mine would be 75 (unless I can find a sd or a coupon). I am sure I would get my moneys worth watching how much fun he had and taking a ton of pictures. But then again, I would be by myself with him, so it might be tiring. What to do, what to do
Clap Yeah!!! Disney sounds like a blast for him, though it might be exhausting for you if you will be the only adult. Be prepared for lots of long lines.

Just had to post - I'm eating my lunch, and realized ALL of it was practically free or bought w/overages! Spinach salad (bagged spinach - overage from Safeway; mandarin oranges, cranberries, almonds, FREE Kraft poppyseed dressing) and Michael Angelo's lasagna! YummO! Big Grin

Don't we just LOVE couponing and slickdeals?!?

I am planning our DS's 4 b-day at our local YMCA. They have swimming, tumbling, and messy munchins. All parties are about 2 hrs in length and cost about $75 for about 12-15 guests. I did Chuck E cheese one year, and even though I wrote on the invite - join us for cake & ice cream - many people expected pizza as well. So, it ended up being very expensive.
thats a good deal too! hope he has lots of fun!

Just thinkin this morning when cuddling with my kid how grateful I am for him, DH, our house, our life and SD. Without all the deals/coupons you have all shared with me, we would be in a much worse place now. We all would be--look at stormy, she hasn't seen her mom in 5 years and now she can. lots here have great stories like that. OK we all get sappy every so often, that was my sappinessSmilie
You totally made me tear up with that one. Made me stop and think of how grateful I am as well. hug

I'm not sure how old your DS is but you might consider Sea World instead of Disney. We love, love, love Sea World. There is tons to do and that time of year there's hardly anyone in the park. We have the season passes and take DS every couple of months.

This time of year shouldn't be too bad if you go on a weekday. Summer is over, school is back in and it's not close to the holidays yet.

What small thing is it that they carry where the "coupon limit" message popped up???

Sounds awfully "big brother"

I went to Target yesterday and used the new $3 off Johnson Q. Just an FYI, it is a beeper.

I bought children's Tylenol Meltaways, and 2 Buddy Bars. Perfectly valid stuff.

The cashier said it was because it wasn't liquid Tylenol. I think it just beeps to check to make sure you bought the correct items.

DD is having a tantrum now, she's getting a cold (hence the Tylenol last night).

My son has the same "Kids Are First" fundraiser that many schools across the country use. It has the "All You" mag for $20/2 years this year. If you know any neighborhood kids they might have the same fundraiser.
