This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

I thought Texas had everything!

Acme is also Albertsons in some parts, its one of our larger grocery stores. This week Rice a roni is free after coupon, and some other stuff too. Plus they have a bonus card, and there are certain offers taht you look up.

Once there was Edy's ice cream on sale for 2.50 ea (great price in itself) my bonus card had 2.00 off and I had a 1,00 off mfc. They paid me to take it home.
lol guess not. we DID have albertsons but they went out of biz and now randalls/krogers bought their buildings...

Devilmomma, arent you in Lehigh County? I am watching the Lehigh County PBS and they just flashed a warning about a water treatment malfunction, and you must boil your water. I missed the list of towns though

laugh out loud I've got one at my Publix that is a New York transplant (nothing against New Yorkers, things are just slower down here in the south)..anyway, everytime I come in w/ q's, she huffs and puffs and just acts irritated to have to deal with them. Last time I just stared her down for a few minutes and then I asked her, do you have something against coupons? Is it too much trouble for you to scan them? laugh out loud she was stuttering all over herself...uhh, no, I used to use them myself (uh huh, you're jealous cause you never used them like I use them)...
I had a day like that once in awhile.

I was at a grocery store and gave the cashier (an older lady) my 20 Qs.

She looked at them and ask, "What do I do with these?"

Me: "Why don't you scan them and see what happened?" Evil

Yes, I was a liitle harsh, but should I have said, "They're scratch papers, please throw them out?" Evillaugh

I'm up for the challenge as well! Thanks for the info. I hardly shop at WAGS and really do not know what to expect. laugh out loud So you would suggest buying a bunch of things together and then having a bunch of Q's? Hmm... I'm going to have to plan this very carefully, I see.
I'd suggest a couple of "test" runs this week to see if you can get a friendly cashier. Run in and grab some of the Glade peelies (save a couple for next week), Crest mouthwash, and check the WAGs thread to see what you can use a WAGs Q and MQ on this week (haven't made my run there yet). If the cashier gives you grief about using TWO coupons, she certainly won't let you do 3.

I have one WONDERFUL store that encourages me to use as many Qs as I can. I was buying a padded envelope last month that had a peelie on it for some other Scotch item (tape maybe?). The Asst mgr grabs the tape coupon and scans it for the envelope. I said, "but... that isn't the right product!" He said, "I know, I was just trying to help you out, see if it worked." This store lets me change Cats into GC. If it scans, you can do it.

On the other hand, the store 5 min from my house... I'm too "memorable" there because I've stood my ground too many times when sales didn't ring up correctly, cats don't print, etc. One older lady told me last time I had already saved enough and she wouldn't let me use my MQs. DH has told me not to go back to that store because every time I leave that place I'm upset.

Give your WAGs coupons first or the register will not let you scan the MQ usually!

The joke used to be about FORD is that it stood for Found On Road Dead cause so many used to stall and break down.
That's my windstar. We have a 94 Camry, a 96 Altima, and a 2000 Windstar. The WS sits in my driveway broken. DH's Altima is now flashing an airbag light, a check engine light, and the windshield is cracked. We can't afford to get the Ford fixed. Guess it's time to pull out hte credit card and just do it though. The cars get MUCH better gas mileage than the van so we have been just letting it sit there and collect spiderwebs. It will be nice to have a van again though....kids don't hit each other as much!

Quote from teri037 :
I get that alot too, but alot of the time the cashier will say 'I need to start doing that'. It's the middle aged to older women who give me the hardest time. I hate going through their lines. They don't think you should get so much for so little, or their just plain jealous, I haven't figured it out yet.

LMAO LMAO thanks for the laugh!

I decided next time I see an address book at the dollar spot I'm grabbing it to keep track of my coupon buddy addresses. Smilie I saw they just put all Snoopy stuff in there. YAY! DH loves Snoopy. Cheap stocking stuffers, I'll even pay $1 and not wait until clearance time...
