Never taken any of my past or present MBs to the stealership, but I'd venture out to say that $130 probably doesn't even cover an oil change. Not to mention if you need to have some actual work done...
I would definitely question them or find another dealership if that is your rate for an oil change. A 3.5 MB engine takes around 8.5-9 quarts of oil. At $8-9/quart that's about $72-81 for oil and $20 for a filter so close to $100 for parts. These are dealer prices in NJ/PA. Oil change labor is not $350.
At most you should be paying no more than $200 for an oil change. My brother in law paid $300 for Service A on his 2015 GL.
Yea, Oil changed GLS450 once at the dealership, they only charged $180... With this coupon it could be $50 you say?

It may include markups such as inspection of the vehicle if you don't specifically say that you only want the oil changed and nothing else. I change my oil so I know that it is done correctly and with the oil I want, but if I was paying $300 for an oil change, you would be correct in that I would be changing it to save money!

But.... but...... they do a 61-point inspection and add washer fluid!!
I would even question "$8-9/quart" for oil. I'm sure they have their own branded Mobil1 or something but even buying in single quarts a consumer can buy the same stuff for half that price even at retail. Or spend under $20 for ten quarts if paying attention to SlickDeals.

I don't want to be presumptuous here, but ff you have a 9 qt engine, you should start getting into doing your own oil changes. You can get high-end, 5qt jugs of Mobil 1 extended performance regularly for $25 ($12 with slickdeals MIR) and really save some money. Plus, you get to know your car.
i got lucky and was able to negotiate a 3 year pre-paid maintenance for my 2016 c class for free.
service A which is just an oil change is $500 here in NY. service B is $800 and includes a couple more minor things.
but if you think about small chump change like this, maybe mercedes is not for you.
my brother's maseratti oil change costs $1200, no kidding.
also, you gotta rememebr that mercedes oil changes are only required every 10k miles as oppossed to 3-5k miles on toyotas and hondas.
I understand what you are saying but cost of ownership doesn't mean one should allow themselves to be willingly ripped off. Mechanically, MB cars are some of the easiest to work on and it's the perception rather than reality that drives up prices at repair shops.
The MB oil is just Mobil 1 repackaged. I actually buy the oil from Walmart and the MB filter from a local import shop and pay a guy $10-20 to change the oil. Costs less than $85 total. I drive about 36K miles a year and change the oil every 5K miles due to rough driving conditions so the savings do add up especially since I'm on my 22nd MB car. Same goes for other maintenance items.
If I go to the dealer, it's usually only for something that can't be done by an independent shop.

I'm sure it takes $200 for someone to unscrew the oil plug, drain the oil, and refill it with 5 quarts.

What Honda or Toyota requires oil change 3-5k miles?
