That 75X940D is the lowest ever. The best 75" you can get for the money. Full array local dimming with 3D. And I thought the 75x940C I got for $2999 could never to beat. This is right there. 940D is the flagship before ZD9 came out. The new ones will cost you twice as much. Lots of people have ebay bucks to burn. This is the TV you will not regret.

Found my answer. 840d is 422 nits and 940d is 880 nits. So way brighter.

I bought the 840d and returned it because I felt it didn't get bright enough (compared to my Samsung ks8500). Any idea how much brighter the 940d is?

awesome price. the magnolia rep said this is currently the best 75" in this price range that "checks off all the boxes". I saw it upscale a 1080p DVD and was floored. Netflix in 4k was amazing.

Great price on both sets. The 940D FALD is making me consider to sell one of my plasma TVs as I have been itching for a 75 inch set for quite a while, the price is very tempting.

I realllllllly want to pounce on this. Anyone talk me out of it? I've been waiting for a deal on a very nice 75 inch tv, and this one seems to have it all. 4k.com rates it as the 4th best 4k tv. The price seems fantastic compared to it's similar brethren. Any reason I should wait longer till around the super bowl? It's a risky game I know . . .
