I think the TB3 issues remain. Notebookcheck.net did a review of this model and got confirmation from a Dell employee who said there wasn't room on the small motherboard for all 4 lanes, so the only used two.

Either that or a surface Pro... most likely a SP for Black Friday 2018.
but this is a good deal for those who want the relatively latest tech for laptops...
PS: matte screen are the best, I love matte screens.
It'll probably hit that price point as they clear stock next year for the next release of CPU/GPU models. If you aren't in a hurry that's fine.

So far no complaint with HP build quality. Seems pretty solid to me except for some light bleed, which is not too bad at all.
but I'm definitely missing the infinity edge display.
And if you have a quad processor and a 1050 GPU don't expect battery life to stand out.
