To each his own; I prefer the two-wheeler. Too easy for one of the exposed 4 wheels on spinner models to get knocked off in luggage handling systems. Then you're screwed. A two wheeler has protected wheels that are pretty immune to this problem.

It still baffles me that a bag the size of a carry-on can be $140, even with wheels

As a frequent business traveler, I find myself gate checked way too often. Also in need of a new suitcase, at a reasonable price as my last 2 wheeler finally bit the dust.

Any good 2 wheelers in the 60-80$ range you can recommend?

Why would you need a backup suitcase?

I prefer this line of luggage to most others.

I've been thru a dozen rolly suitcases, and have learned to look for both (a) REAL skateboard wheels (b) oversize zippers, and this "FlightCrew" series seems to have both. I can usually find these reqiurements while spending ~$50 for some no-name suitcase at crappy stores like Marshalls.

4 wheel suitcases are NOT ok for fast pedestrian travel. I am usually the first one out the airport and into the subway, ignoring curbs, and my suitcases last ~30 trips.
