Product Name: | Team T-FORCE VULCAN Z 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Intel XMP 2.0 Desktop Memory Model TLZGD432G3200HC16FDC01 |
Product Description: | REINFORCED STRUCTURE T-FORCE VULCAN Z is designed for complete protection and enhanced heat dissipation. The heat spreader is formed by punch press process with a 0.8mm thick, one-piece alloy aluminum to reinforce the body structure. In addition, coloring with electrolytic anodizing process can enhance corrosion resistance and make it non-conductive. ENHANCED HEAT DISSIPATION With superconductivity – thermally conductive adhesive, it can quickly transfer the heat on IC chip through heat conduction to aluminum alloy cooling module for better heat dissipation. STABLE AND DURABLE Every IC chip made for TEAMGROUP’s T-FORCE VULCAN Z DDR4 gaming memory is selected through a rigorous testing process. Every overclocking memory is tested for complete compatibility and stability. This offers gamers a DDR4 memory with excellent quality, optimal performance, stability and compatibility. SUPPORTS INTEL & AMD It is compatible to both Intel & AMD platforms, therefore gamers can build their system without worries. SUPPORTS XMP2.0 By using the XMP 2.0 technology, users are able to experience the thrill of overclocking easily. ENERGY SAVING The basic working voltage is decreased to 1.2V. VULCAN Z is energy saving, high performance and low power consumption. "weak PC demand"
DDR5 Memory Prices To Keep Falling As AMD Gets To Ready To Launch Zen 4
https://hothardware.com/news/ddr5...unch-zen-4
Sometimes these specialty modules won't work at all in non-XMP systems because they don't put a decent default profile in the SPD.
Looks like I'll be building a new system this Dec. with new cpu, motherboard, PSU, GPU and DDR5.
Fleabay will be flooded with older cpu motherboard combos, GPU's and DDR4.
I just bought a $2500 computer that came with 2 x 8 GB = 16 GB of ram 3200 MHz. 16-20-20

I haven't even really played games but I never used up all 16gb of ram nor crashed. My only problem is I use google chrome after a few hours. I sometimes have 20 tabs open. A lot of them are youtube videos or twitch. My google chrome becomes less smooth and laggy. Even closing the tabs don't help. I would close all 19 tabs it will still lag. The only way I know how to solve this is this restart the computer or alt control delete and end google chrome task that way. Then reopen google chrome, everything is back to normal and smooth.
I've heard both. If you're not using all 16gb of ram. It won't help. But I also heard 32gb, less stress. if you're using say 14 gb of ram out of your 32, it's easier.
Will a 32GB ram help me or nah? Does anyone know why google chrome is super slow and not smooth after like 20 tabs open and why it doesn't become smooth again when closing tabs normally. Thank you

I had a similar problem like this years ago and it had something to do with my hard drive. If you have a secondary drive try installing your browser on that otherwise look up firmware and software updates.
deselect let Windows manage virtual memory.
preallocate a small 4-8GB pagefile.
that way Windows doesn't allocate more HDD/SSD as your usage increases, you'll use real RAM or the preallocated space
if in doubt check your Chrome RAM usage in task manager when it starts to lag

So looks like some chrome optimization issues. Check chrome settings and turn off keep chrome running in the background and another option called background sync or let websites keeps sending data even when closed (forgot the exact wording). These options usually don't let chrome close all the way and probably the reason you need to end task. Its a good idea to get an extension called onetab save open tabs your not using there in which you can come back to later. It's also a good idea to restart windows (not shutdown since windows turned shutdown into hibernate (setting can be turned off as well)) at least once a week.
timings/speed may be different due to mismatch pairs but you can mess around in the bios to see what works with both of them
if you end up with compatibility issues (regarding speeds/timing) may be better to just use the 2x16 sticks by themselves

Not to deter from the original question, but how in God's holy name did you end up with a $2500 computer that has only 16gb of RAM?
