Lowe's has a sale going on for the DCF 891B that includes two powerstack batteries for $249.99. If you price match Homedepots sale price of 199.00 at Lowe's they'll still honor the free powerstack batteries. Worked for me at Lowe's
***Edit***
Go to the self checkout, and before scanning the impact call a team member over. Ask to price match HD website. They will confirm the price HD website and price match it. Proceed to scan the batteries and the promotional discount automatically applies.

I did,was the first time trying this in Lowe's. Work just like HD, each different SKU has a price listed and calculation is same as Home Depot's when doing similar hack.
I'd say this deal w/ free batteries is a huge YMMV.
First thing that happens when ringing up both items is the price changing for promotion. So tool then shows $144 on the screen instead of $249. MIGHT work if you got them to match the tool before ringing up batteries, but I feel like that's in the moral grey zone...
If you really need it, the normal hack of just returning batteries makes it $144+tax. If you could get the tool to be $199 before promo it should take it down to $104.

Or is this a in-store only kind of thing?

It seems like Lowe's is an in store only for hacking, seems like I've only read of people getting it in store and none online...
