Wow, retina display is fuzzy? You wouldn't survive back in the days when monitors were 1024x768.
Absolutely not for the base model. If I remember correctly they had issues on m2 with memory offloading to the ssd being slower than m1. Let's face it, if you are buying this laptop, it is for more light use situations where weight also matters a lot like traveling. The upgrades to m2 are minimal in my opinion. Sure the magsafe is nice, but it's also nice to share chargers with all your other devices. The design imo is better as well.
correct, i was more mentioning that the additional of the magsafe won't change many's method of charging.

If you want a bit more performance, MagSafe, 1080p camera, better speakers/mic, notch, more color options, 100 nits more brightness, a bit longer OS longevity, this is it. If none of this matters to you, M1 is still excellent while they last. $650 still at Costco, $699 elsewhere.
Apple Store back to school sale usually has it for 900$+150$ gift card included. That's works out to be around 750$, if you shop at Apple Store.
No. M3 is also affected but they have an internal switch they can turn it off like newer Intel chips. It'll still be slower no matter which way they fix it but at least the chip is faster then the other chips already for when it goes slower after the fix.
But really, in order for someone to get hacked, you need to install a malicious app, bypass Apple's "you shouldn't trust this" warning because unsigned apps are blocked by default and then run the app for hours.
