I've wasted at least 3 hours on chats and responding to emails. Finally I came to my senses and filed a dispute with my credit card company.
I ended up buying a Pixel 8 and am likely done with Oneplus. I've had 6 previous Oneplus devices and have been pleased with them. If you do stay with Oneplus I would suggest you order from Amazon and Best Buy or another reputable seller. I just decided if I ended up having issues with the phone I would have an equally difficult time trying to get Oneplus to take corrective action in a timely manner. 26 days and no resolution is a problem no one wants to deal with.

You're getting brainwashed. The smart move is to avoid buying a phone from where you live, so the government can't snoop on you and throw you in the slammer. If you're in the US, watch out for the CIA or NSA knocking on your door. China and Russia? They can't touch me. I'm cool with throwing them some cash.
Need to go through hoops to unlock and cancel the ATT service once I get the S3 tomorrow.

Anyway, I hear the OP custom rom scene has been pretty poor post-OP9 which is a shame. However, I do agree, not like China or Russia is going to care about me, but the US government is a different story.
