Can you comment on the fit? I am typically an XL/XXL but I tend to need to size down to L in Columbia outerwear. I am somewhat assuming this would fit slimmer than outerwear since not much would be layered under it.
I have a few of these vests, and and also a few jackets from Columbia. They are all the same size. Columbia usually does run large compared to other brands. This vest is similar to their sizing, in my opinion. On the other hand, I have a ski jacket from them that's more of a modern slimming fit, and I believe it was noted such either in the description or the feedback in reviews regarding fit. If you mostly wear this type of vest over a thin sweater or shirt, go with the large (especially if you have a chiseled physique). If you plan on rocking a thicker hoody or something similar, size up to the XL (especially if you don't have a chiseled physique).
Got mine the same time, and I use it regularly- usually at work. I'm actually wearing mine right now haha. It's a great no-frills vest that has proven to be durable.

Perhaps a Large Tall will fit you? The measurements given for Large and Large Tall are exactly the same, so... who knows?
