I started with singles to do kb swings years ago (both hands on single kb) and I regret not getting a pair

What's the difference with using a pair? Seems more difficult

It is. The difference is mainly the obvious - overall load is higher. But starting with doubles is not something I'd recommend, as someone who's been using KBs almost exclusively for resistance training since a little before lockdown started. To me, it's best to work on getting the main exercises down with one kettlebell to learn proper form, then progressing to doubles. Swings, cleans, snatches, presses - the movements are different than what you'd be used to if you were coming from dumbbells or barbells, the grip is different, the center of mass for the object is very different - and if you're not really comfortable with your foundational movements you'll end up doing what I did the first time I did double cleans with 35# bells - when I dropped them forward, I didn't shift my weight right, and ended up doing a somersault over the bells. Smilie

Once you've got the form down, though, doubles are WAY more beneficial for building strength.

Singles are totally fine too start with. In addition to these classic kb exercises, you can do plenty of exercises that involve less skill at handling the kb and it's momentum. For example there are plenty of unilateral exercises you can do like single leg/arm rdl, lunge, Turkish get up, various types of carrying etc. nice for stability and endurance.

In for the 50lb. Had a $10 Score reward from my running miles which knocked the price down to $34.99. Sweet deal, thanks OP!

Looks like a great deal. Do people typically buy pairs like dumbbells for kettlebells?

Look up the armor-building complex (ABC) from Dan John. Awesome routine with double KBs
