2023 is the latest model
As mentioned on earlier posts, request price match and schedule pickup at Indianapolis, then request to ship it once order is confirmed.
Now to see if they'll change my pickup store, or even ship it. I don't see the option to make those changes online.
EDIT: Well... managed to do a chat to change store pickup to a local store (NOT in Indiana, that is). Amazing. I should be able to get ~$1,000-$1,200 for my current 14" MBP M1 Pro 16GB/1TB. Have looked at Swappa, but will try Craigslist first. Still have the original box, charger, cable, etc. and 1 year of crAppleCare+ left.
Here is what I did.
- Ordered through Live sales agent chat ONCE the BestBuy store was closed.
- Provided Indianapolis, IN 46250 for the pickup (Best Buy is 4 mins away from Micro Center). Note: If you give other zip code that is not near Indianapolis Micro center, they will not give offer mostly. Somebody suggested to change the pickup location at the last moment and I did not try that.
- Once order is placed, called Customer service 1 (888) 237-8289. Online Sales agent chat was not able to handle this request as they are sales team. Also they told me I can't change about pickup/shipping for MacBooks. MAKE SURE to call before store opens otherwise order status will change and you will not be able to modify.
- Customer service was able to change the order to either home delivery or other store. I gave location of other store where there is no Sales tax. I specifically asked about tax and Customer service told me that I would get refund for the tax I paid within 24 hours. If you don't care about tax changes then ship it to your home and do not discuss anything about tax with customer service.

I started the live chat. I bought from the Indianapolis Best Buy and did store pickup.
The order was flagged because I don't live there so I had to call the best buy card folks to get them to authorize it. Once done I place the order for the store pickup and ended the live chat. Their store no longer has stock of the M3 16'' 1TB max macbook. So they're gonna ship it to the store.
Now you have a limited time, right after the purchase was made I called BB 888-237-8289 number asked for customer service for an order. Gentleman picked up he was super nice and quickly changed my order to shipping. And you're done. This was done as of 04/17 at 11:00am EST. Happy hunting.
I have a MicroCenter credit card for additional savings. I'm not looking into buying from Best Buy.
Thank you for the response. So you ended up changing the location twice? I tried that through chat support and they said they weren't able to do it because the button was greyed out. Hopefully I am still able to get it eventually
