RPGs are right up my alley, but the graphical art style and the laggy movement and combat of the main character kills immersion everytime for me. I found Skyrim, Fallout 4, Dark Souls 3 the most immersive RPGs of the era.
Witcher 2 on the other hand was the bomb.

Humorously, I found witcher 2 boring as dirt, lol. BG3 was brilliant, though. 2023 my fave RPG (well, adventure RPG) was Tears of the Kingdom, though. Absolute master class in game design.
Are you sure you're not confusing Witcher 2 with Witcher 3? Witcher 2 "the bomb". Witcher 3 "laggy movement"?
