1) they've actively blocked homebridge to prevent being used with HomeKit
2) they stopped selling the HomeKit adapter/bridge for their existing Smart Openers
3) their retrofit transmitter/sensor also doesn't work with HomeKit
Pretty lame and short-sighted and lost any goodwill with me. I would've considered their smart camera if it worked with HomeKit/homebridge/anything else. But Will def avoid chamberlain family products in the future

Yep, I hate their whole lineup. I got their MyQ camera and garage door opener a while back that literally says "Works with Google and HomeKit" on the packaging and it stopped working after a month. I checked their support site some days later and it says they dropped all support. Do not buy.
Think of it this way if you can open it rather easy with hands then it will handle it without issues. Most of the lifting is made by spring/s depending on design.
It has only single button so I doubt, usually for separate light control you would have multiple buttons.

Never buying a MyQ/Chamberlain product again.
The MyQ app still works, ... sort of ...
About half an hour after the door opens, I get a notification on my phone...
I have to disagree about the notifications. Mine are instant. The app is quick to open and operate. Much better than some of the other ha apps. That said, not having cross platform integration is a big miss. For me, just being able to use app to control it is sufficient for now.
Buy from Costco, return to HD and u also get keypad 🤔🤔🤔
There is nothing "awful" about the MyQ app. It works reliably and exactly as expected. You're just mad it doesn't integrate into the specific app YOU want it to. We can literally open our garage doors from another country and be notified about any activity. We've become SO spoiled if you believe that is just "awful".
