So I haven't done a true battery test, but the closest I got was web browsing while letting a game (Oldschool RuneScape) run in the background. Brightness was just under halfway, and refresh rate was 60hz. I got about 2.5hrs on that setup. I read some reviews claiming 8-9hrs on a true video only battery test.

TLDR: It should be really good for a windows machine non gaming.

Obviously depends on your use cases, but I would personally go with:

If it had 32GB, good. Like this, not at all good.

Games at this moment don't need more than 16GB of memory and by the time they'll need it, you'll be playing on another laptop. It's ridiculous the argument.

only weakness is TGP of 105W on the 4060, this would be amazing if it was a 140W 4060

If you look at all the reviews, it doesn't matter! Only the 4080 and 4090 gpu benefit from more wattage

16GB and zero problems. If anything, I would like more than 8GB video ram. I see the 16GB comment every time this deal is posted. Just about every laptop has 16GB or less.

People use their computers for things other than gaming. If you plan on working with large spread sheets, video editing, unoptimized apps, etc. 16gb is being stretched very thin these days.

Even with how cheap my work is, IT started giving a large amount of workers 32gb devices. It took years to get to that point.

I absolutely would not pay $150 more for the laptop you linked. Sure, it has 32gb of RAM. But it also has a 3050 and a non-OLED screen.

Yeah, if you don't value the lightweight and battery life and bigger screen, the LG Gram will never appeal to you. It's definitely a polarizing product line.

They're entirely different laptop categories at that point. This deal thread is for a lightweight gaming laptop, which the LG Gram isn't.

I disagree strongly, but hey that's how it goes. Good luck.

I genuinely don't mean to come across as rude or beat a dead horse here. But for the sake of people researching this laptop, I just think it's important to clarify that these two laptops really aren't comparable. I recognize you said "depending on your use case", but I think it's fair to assume people interested in the Legion are wanting to game. If you look at the benchmarks, the 4060 gets nearly double the fps on the 3050.

The LG Gram would certainly be worth looking into for productivity, but again these are entirely different categories.
