Better for productivity, not games; 5600x and 5700x are the best deal at the moment for games for AM4.

Complete newb here, just curious why a CPU with a higher number is better for productivity but not games? Does this apply to Intel as well or is it just an AMD thing?

TIA!

Gaming does not use all the cores that the 5900 has hence you are wasting money unless you plan to run core intense apps.
